Finally finished the Delta Squad :D a pic of the complete squad will be posted soon. The lighting also doesn't bring out the true color of this custom, it's a lighter shade of green :p but this was the best shot I could get. Anyways, lemmie know what you all think! And if you're gonna fave, comment too please!
I have had my eye on this location for well over a year and finally the conditions were perfect for what i had in mind.
Brand New NS 272 comes roaring by Shell road with #4466 leading its way to Portlock yard. always fun to see the WRFX leasers that are running around as of right now.
This train used to be 271 but was changed to 272. Even numbers are supposes to be Eastbound and odd number are supposed to be Westbound. Makes me wonder if there gonna changed 275.
I don't often like remodels (as they take away uniqueness), but this one was needed.

Finally! With the exception of Hal Jordan, who doesn't officially come out until early 2015 (in a set with Sinestro no less, exciting stuff) here is my mainstay Justice League!

I took his decal of the armour and shoved it under another decal for the jacket, to get the WW 600 look (one of my favourite runs of Wonder Woman).
After waiting for four intermodal trains to cross in front of it on the NS Chicago Line, train 188 bound for Detroit is finally underway on the Huntington District in Butler, Indiana.
My first springtail ! This was a real fight for me. I never thought, that something so slow is so difficult to photograph ! Thanks to Edward Nurcombe (Eddie The Bugman) and Andy Murray (andybadger), which showed me this fascinating world with their magnificant pictures.

I found this wooden 1/6 scale table and bench set on ebay a few years ago. I've had it painted several colors and really didn't like any of them. I restarted them a few weeks ago and finally finished them up today. I'm very pleased with the results. A least 3 different layers of paint were applied, then I really sanded the pieces down paying attention to the edges. I also scratched up the pieces using an Exacto knife. I then used watered down, gray chalk paint to add a glaze, wiping it off if it got to dark.
So, sedum. It's not a plant for the patient. We moved into the house, and found this kind of truncated, clumpy stuff with heavy leaves growing out front, and did not discover its identity until maybe June? July?
Since that point, the sedum has gotten closer and closer to blooming. The bastard's been ready to bloom now for like, a month or more. And those non-blooming buds just sit there, hiding their flowers, nagging me, mocking me.
And then, drum roll please, the sedum finally starts to bloom. Even now, over a week later, only half the buds have resolved into anything resembling the nifty pink little flowers, but whaddya gonna do?
It's like fireworks.

I finally got the New Singing Ariel and Singing Rapunzel dolls to day at the Disney Store to add to my Singing doll collection, now hopefully I'll by able to get Merida to complete my collection.
It's been a long time coming, but I finally came across some sleeping Blue Banded Bees;
It's always amazed me how these thing sleep like they do... hanging off the end of a dead stem or similar and supporting their bodyweight with just the grip of their jaws (I guess you'd call them).
It's the middle of January and this is the first time we've had enough snow to cover the ground. It was great to finally do some winter hiking with the camera. This is Willoway Brook at the Morton Arboretum.
The clouds finally parting for the best and only 20 minutes of sunshine on an otherwise cloudy day. Sunset, North Avenue Beach, Chicago, IL. HDR, 6 frames stitched with 3 exposures each.
Being retired I am supposed to have time on my hands!!!?? I looked and it was october since I last dressed. I just don't know where the time goes - but every time I saw an opportunity it evaporated. But finally a chance.
Nothing special just decided to get into one of my old favourite dresses. Had this one for years. I think it has a good line for a CD and its lovely and soft. It makes me feel really good and I hope its happy with me cos I am keeping it a while longer
London Sovereign SP40078 (YT59RYC) is seen at Pinner on route 183. This vehicle has been refurbished with the fleetnumber "SP0078". That is completely pointless! They might as well have kept it SP78! Come on RATP, stick to one fleetnumbering scheme!
Milla and me had such a good time during the last year. The 52 weeks project was a great experience and Milla has been a super model! Thanks to all of you commenting and sending kind words to us during the last year! We really appreciate it! Have a happy new year!

The Kingston sub was single track west of here due to trackwork, and CN 377 had to wait for a fleet of eastbounds (CN 368, CN X372 & VIA 34) to pass before it could leave Caron. Here CN 377 is finally departing with Cn 2657 & CN 8842 for power.
Finally got a chance to go see a Painted Bunting that's been hanging around a cemetary in Jersey City. Ten minutes after I got there this Cooper's flew in & everything scattered :-(
Finally got a decent shot through the window.This is one of a pair continually visiting the feeders.
This (finally finished in real bricks!) model was originally Hunter Dobbs steam locomotive and is based off of "Lady" from Thomas And the Magic Railroad (you know, the 2000 Thomas And Friends film that sadly, flopped horribly.) Fictional background (from Thomas and friends wiki) for this engine, as seen in the Magic Railroad movie. (Also, the figure in the cab of the engine is a representation of Burnett Stone, caretaker and driver of Lady, as played by Peter Fonda in the 2000 movie.)
Lady once came to the Island of Sodor a long time ago, when she was found by Diesel 10, an evil diesel engine who wanted to destroy her. Lady and Burnett Stone both ran away from Diesel 10, but during the chase, Burnett used up all her coal and made her go too fast, causing Diesel 10 to catch up and crash her. Lady was taken back to Muffle Mountain and stored inside Burnett's workshop, where he spent years desperately trying to restore her to working order, but he did not have the right coal to make her steam.
Years later, Lady was still out of service, and without her, the Magic Railroad began to lose its magic. That all changed when Lily, Burnett's granddaughter, and Thomas brought a truck of coal from Sodor to Muffle Mountain, which proved to be the coal necessary to make her steam. Lady came back to life and returned to Sodor, where she was once again chased by Diesel 10. Lady, Burnett and Thomas successfully managed to escape Diesel 10, and she gave the Conductor Family the Gold Dust they needed.
Today (22/02/2026) was the first outing of 2026 for 21 members of the 'Yard Bashers & Number-takers Society' (YBNS) - South Western Branch - expertly organised by James Underwood of Chandlers Coach Travel.
Our first port of call was Beeline Coaches of Warminster where among the goodies on display were a trio of Caetano Enigmas; then it was on to CT Coaches of Radstock where we found a BMC Condor and a former Guernsey Albion Victor; then Centurion Travel of Midsomer Norton who had a brand new Temsa MD9 on display; then Berkeley Coach and Travel of Paulton where I finally chalked off their Plaxton Panther; then Filer's Coaches of Stanton Wick where we came across delights galore; and finally finishing at Chandlers Coach Travel of Westbury.
A brilliant day out was had by all and huge appreciation goes to all the operators who kindly provided staff for our visits and made us feel most welcome.
