Finding good locations is a bit if a challenge, when I drove past this field I new I had hit gold. With the sun setting behind me my shadow took some avoiding, I figure that the sun rise should be top left so with the next good weather forecast I shall be racing off at 4.00am

Lovely summer view!

Another attempt at a widefield shot of the Vela supernova remnant at 135mm focal length. One night worth of exposures, mostly with an Astronomik clip in UHC filter, 10 minute subs at ISO800, with some no filter shots, 10 minutes at ISO200. The UHC was used as luminance as well as some colour. This is all pretty faint stuff! Sigma 135mm lens at f/2.0, CGEM2 EQ mount, PHD2 guiding, NINA camera control, APP and PS processing. I like NINA but its really rubbish for DSLR shooting, next time I will be back on APT.

Auf einem Hof bei Heimhofen hat gerade eine Garagenparty begonnen, während im Hintergrund zwei Zwoachtzehner lautstark den EC 197 nach München befördern.

Die feiernden Partygäste nehmen davon allerdings keine Notiz, es ist halt Alltag.

A panorama of the Salt Valley region of Arches National Park in Utah. The images were taken from the Fiery Furnace Viewpoint. At the left are the unique, sandstone structures of the Fiery Furnace area. At right is a fenced pathway leading to the Salt Valley Viewpoint. In the middle ground is the Salt Valley and far in the background are the snow-covered Lasal Mountain range.

There is a wonderful Spring glow to everything up in the Gorge now.
