What a fabulous sunny day today...and so many beautiful buttercup meadows...not sure if this horse should be eating them though!

It was pretty silly of me but I had to get out of the car and look at the sky and there I was standing in the road taking shots of clouds. They fascinate me sometimes and I just cannot resist.
Late evening sun casts long shadows and goldend light over a field of rapeseed on the outskirts of York.
This was taken using a camera equipped quadcopter at an altitude of 6.3 metres above ground and is the first proper landscape I've shot in this way.
For reference I used a DJI Phantom 2 Vision equipped with a DJI FC200 camera mounted on a Rotorpixel gimbal and controlled from the ground using an iPhone and the DJI app which allows first person view control.

Our road trip up the California coast is less than a week away. Hooray!
I am going to bring only two cameras, my 5DII and my Mamiya C33. Scotty still thinks it's one too much. Does anyone else have a non-photographic spouse who isn't so fond of how much time you spend shooting little details? He's tolerant… to a limit. Thank goodness I'll have Lara, my oldest roommate from Montreal traveling with us. They'll hopefully keep each other company through any potential slow-downs. Incidentally, all of our birthdays fall within two weeks of one-another, so this is our gift to ourselves. :D
Still up for a meet-up with anyone who's around, or who can suggest any secret spots for us to explore!
