In Flanders Field
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throuw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, through the poppies grouw
In Flanders fields.

I tried, while not using Bev's tripod, to control the bright sunlight with a flower. It's always a surprise and a real thrill to find one of your images in Explore - thank you for your visits, favourites and comments, all are most appreciated!
Anzi " E' primavera ... ", perchè questa foto nella sua versione orignale "perde" qualla patina di malinconia legata a bei ricordi lontani, oramai passati...
Questo è il bello della fotografia al "tempo del digitale", perchè partendo dalla stessa foto, si può arrivare a suggestioni diverse...
Indeed "It 's spring ... ", because this image in its original version "loses" the suggestion of melancholy, linked to happy memories away, now gone ...
That's the beauty of photography at the "time of the digital age ", because starting from the same photo, you can get to different suggestions...
I went for a stroll following my final exam earlier this year. I wanted to catch the sunset over the fields, but a layer of cloud on the horizon prevented the full experience. Nonetheless, I wanted to share one of the pictures from the trip.
Another attempt at a widefield shot of the Vela supernova remnant at 135mm focal length. One night worth of exposures, mostly with an Astronomik clip in UHC filter, 10 minute subs at ISO800, with some no filter shots, 10 minutes at ISO200. The UHC was used as luminance as well as some colour. This is all pretty faint stuff! Sigma 135mm lens at f/2.0, CGEM2 EQ mount, PHD2 guiding, NINA camera control, APP and PS processing. I like NINA but its really rubbish for DSLR shooting, next time I will be back on APT.
