A field of fully ripened lavender on a very early morning, a bunch of busy bees buzzing all around, and me lying on the ground, trying to get an upward view of these mesmerizing blooms! What a scene for the rare car that passed by on the nearby road, so awkward ...but all for the sake of photography. :) And, yes, I loved every minute of it!
Have a beautiful day my fiends!
You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You'll forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we walk in fields of gold

Image imagined in MidJourney AI and finished with Topaz Studio 2.0 and Lightroom Classic.
I wasn't sure if this was an Amish or Mennonite gang because of the truck but most likely is. What really caught my eye was the landscape layers and colors.
Found this guy lurking in a field at the edge of the woods close to home.
Gotta love a casually dressed werewolf. Ahh-wooooo!
Toward the end of the day, the sun shone brightly across the tops of the vines. This effect gave rise to this image as the clouds danced about the sky. My daughter however sees this as more like that of a volcano due to the shape of the mountain.
Either way, the owner came out and we talked about this glorious field of dreams for a good half hour. Much to my surprise he added that few if any have ever asked to photograph the vines. He told me of his own experiences given different seasons and the amazing visuals to be had.
Such a cool place, and if you are tuning in today Jock, this is very close to the cabin and just down the highway. Great place to spend an afternoon taste testing the local vintage.

Typical field in Alentejo - Portugal. in the forefront some prehistoric rocks and the back the typical "sobreiro" the tree one sees there... It shows what Alentejo is all about in many ways... I took this photo to keep in mind the moment as I do all my photos. Soc of course...
Europe, the Netherlands, Gelderland, Achterhoek, Lochem, Corn field (uncut)
In the beautiful 'coulliselandschap' of the Achterhoek, corn is an important crop. The fields are owned by heavily mechanized farmers cooperations that grow, harvest and process. The corn is mature and probably harvested now.
Shot in Lochem, a few hundred meters from the Paasberg.
This is number 7 of the new Naar het Oosten album and 139 Land-, sea-, river-, mountain-, and agriscapes & assorted green.
I couldn't resist getting countryside again. Hooray it is the first day of Spring and there are fields to plow !
