I had to shoot at least half a roll of Lomochrome Purple on this street of Amsterdam, when I suddenly found myself surrounded by interesting people. This was a proficuous afternoon in general, but seeing - and shooting - so much so quick doesn't happen often to me. I loved this couple because they had such different attitudes though walking next to each other as a couple. I was lucky to catch this.

He's got the lockdown blues.....when he's not asleep.

Here some poor dude had his nose bloodied but he was carried to salvation. Fucked Up live in New Haven in Sept 2010 in some quaint little space above Toad's Place where 100 people witnessed loud punk rock with 3 guitars and one large man taking over the room.

A film version of the digital shot below-this is with minimal processing through Lightroom-I'm finding the scanned versions dont look quite the same as what I have here actually printed on lustre paper-they lose a litle warmth and vibrancy so I am trying and experimenting to bring the screen version back as close as possible to the prints

I have been given a film neg scanner but unfortunately its quite old and not in great condition-to buy the necessary software to make it fit my laptop means it would be cheaper to buy a whole new uptodate scanner......a Flickrfriend has given me a recommendation and I may invest as I'm finding film is great fun!

Further Thoughts

after reading that everyone likes the bright one better'''

Trouble here we arent comparing exactly like to like as film image has had very little post processing and the digital has a Lightroom preset applied which I guess is an unfair comparison and a silly idea of mine to put them together-I've been getting really fedup with my over processed bright coloured stuff and leaning towards a simpler more old fashioned style-but I think our eyes are becoming accustomed to the Hi Def bright coloured modern world ....also as I learnt at my course last week screens need colour calibrating every so ofetn so we are ALL seeing something different to each other on our individual monitors....I will have to ponder on it all some more-meanwhile Im admiring my paper prints which look different altogether !! ha ah a its all most confusing but fun ....

** Thanks all my dear friends for your thoughts and comments its all much appreciated

Im having a difficult time health wise at moment so fiddling with my photos is the only thing keeping me sane ha h a**

Fed-up waiting, waiting, waiting for the ECG women to get on and call me in. Was waiting for 35 minutes in the end, dying for a pee but couldn't wander off to find a loo in case I missed my appointment - the cheeky cows won't see you if you're late!

I like my shoes, I love Hello Kitty, I don't like pink which is a bit of a shame because they only seem to come in pink.

Here we have a poster that asks "Why are my parents so boring?" above a poster that could be a parent whose kids would love to be really boring.

Yes, that is snow. Again. I know, I know, we get that last snowstorm every March in Montreal... But I just cannot take it anymore. GAH!

View from the agency's reception... I'll just ummm, go back to work now...

The We're Here group members are visiting the Handrails group today.

I really wanted to walk along the handrail but that idea was squashed at birth.

Welcome to my inner recesses!

A wise friend once told me 'you buy a Land Rover with your heart, but a Toyota with your mind'.

Suffice to say, my heart won - I've always wanted a Land Rover, since I was a small boy.

Also suffice to say, this was not the first photo of our new car that I planned to post - we only collected the car 4 weeks ago.

This is the second time the discovery has been 'rescued' on a flat bed truck in two days, and this time, earlier today, he would not even start when we arrived at the Abu Dhabi LR service centre.

So now we have no car, are expecting a big bill, and are also feeling rather fed up - more so as the previous owner lied to me about the warranty being valid. So yes, I'm feeling equally hacked off with myself that I didn't verify that before handing over a large chunk of cash.

He's been a great car to drive for the 4 weeks since we collected him from Dubai, and I'm sure we'll learn to enjoy using him again, but right now, part of me wishes I had listened more to my brain, and less to my heart.

He's had enough modelling for the moment.

An image that came my way of a family whose individual personalities you can almost feel. I'm very fond of this photo.

I've got to tell you, I'm getting really annoyed with this constant wet weather. Who's to blame? Is it you? I know where you live!! Rant rant rant....

A work colleague took this photo and placed it on Facebook. I needed to have my own copy. Apparently, this is not one of his Selfie's nor was it indicative of his mood at the time!

It's fast(ish) approaching the midway point for the 365 and I am really feeling it. I have never wanted to take a photo less than I did tonight....and so this was the result of kind of being forced into it. These shots were actually taken by lying the camera on the bed, angling it slightly upwards with one foot whilst the other pressed down the shutter release....hands free! Maybe tomorrow I will put some effort it....maybe.
