I can't be the only one tired of winter & seriously waiting for spring to arrive!!! I hope this

grouping of pink tulips cheers everyone up =)) (Best on black)

The horse just gave up on life!

Apathy. There's a lot of it around.

I figured - why not celebrate it? With added elephants. Although it has to be said that I put way too much effort into this for it to really qualify as apathetic.

Meh.

I hope path*doc doesn't mind me re-titling this from what he said in his comment below - ta mate!

Strobist info: Snooted SB600 high to camera left angled down, 1/2 power through umbrella. Fired using Nikon CLS.

Big on meh

Can you tell I was stuck for a good idea today? If in doubt, break out the textures. Works nearly every time.

Actually, this was an idea I had in mind to try, I was going for a slightly hunched, hunted look but I think I just look a bit annoyed. Damn my reserved British nature.

Why hunted? Just work stuff, no big deal. I got nothing done that I needed to, and seemed to end up getting sucked into dealing with problems that weren't mine. And apparently simple tasks turn out not to be. Goddamn.

It's not all bad. Tomorrow is Joe's seventh birthday, so I've got a half day at work and I'm going to pick him up from school with Lydia and Ben and get his party set up.

And I'm quite pleased with how this shot turned out. I really like how it's framed, though that was down to pure luck. If you're not a texture fan then believe me I didn't throw it on there for the hell of it, I really do think it enhanced the mood and gave it a claustrophobic feel that's key to the whole concept of the shot.

Course it could all be pretentious wank, but who to say eh?

I was doing some lighting shots for my course and thought I would share this

one with you :) she's had a difficult few days so it was nice to spend some

time doing this and having some fun at the same time!

Went out for the day at my local freight/Metrolink yard to meet up once again with "Pasadena Sub Colin" to drop off a couple graff books. He's

like a ghost. He seems to just show up out of nowhere, but this time we arranged that we would be there at the same time.

Thought about not staying and getting more flicks, because I've got a huge backlog, but damn, the weather was so great, and there were actually clouds in the sky and a little breeze. The kind of days I dream about when I'm out in the desert half-way through summer and it's 109 F., dry, dusty, not a cloud in the sky, and shade is hard to find.

Clouds in the sky in California mean one of two things, it's about to rain, or it just rained. So to have some clouds was great. If you look through my flicks, No clouds. I don't like it, but I get my flicks when/where I can.

Clouds, also double edged sword. The sun couldn't decide.... Well, actually the clouds couldn't decide if they wanted to let the sun shine through, or hide it. As a photographer this makes it challenging to photograph a moving train. It's either dark, or super bright. Oh well.

Well trains are slow?! Ignore the internet for a few minutes of your day and go to the tracks. Stand about 10 ft. from the tracks, try to capture a whole car in one photo as they roll by at 20-40 Mph. They might look slow from far away, but get up close and you can feel the wind coming off of the cars as they pass by. I use a super wide lens at this location. 7.5 mm "fisheye" lens, so I can be very close, and still get a whole autorack in the shot. I'm always amazed at all of those shots from the past shot on film cameras that look great. Me here in 2022 with a digital

camera complaining like a little girl.

Sorry, As usual, it will take me a few days or a week to come back and ID/tag all of the writers in my flicks. I'm old/tired, and I have a hard time IDing some pieces. No offense to anyone, but I do the best I can. If you can or want to correct me, COMMENT!!!!

As always, Thanks to all the writers, and also my fellow benchers. Stay safe out there you guys and dolls.

Much love to the graff community. I've made a lot of friends, and some new family.

trying 3D for the first time..

What a week this has been!!

I was going to post this on Greg's birthday last week.

Guinevere took such a liking to Greg's gift bags.

Unfortunately by lunch time on Greg's birthday I suddenly felt really ill and had to go to bed. Felt to be getting flu and had to cancel everything we were going to do

For 2 days I stayed in bed and became quite worried as the flu aches became severe pain and I couldn't move.

I was shivering constantly and being asthmatic got so I couldn't breath so Greg got an ambulance.

In hospital my temperature became so high they thought it was pneumonia but after tests and chest x rays it turns out I had a severe chest infection from the flu virus which had spread through my body. Hence all the pain.

I had plenty of nebs to help me breath and the antibiotics are killing the infection and my pain is easing.

My breathing is a bit better so they sent me home last night.

Still can't move much but I'm on the mend.

My talking is improving!! (much to Greg's delight ha ha!!!)

Yes it's amazing how people take breathing for granted!!!

Can't say much without breath!

And I'm managing the stairs to the toilet on my hands and knees!

Better than yesterday In hospital. I had to be helped by 2 people on each arm or wheelchaired!

So onward and upward.

So this post of Guinevere in the bag is for me as it's my birthday tomorrow.

Thank goodness I'm home and getting better.

Having such a good cry today on and off its unreal.

I'm afraid to say I'm feeling a little sorry for myself now.

Been very ill and now feel rather fed up the way things have been going.

Unbelievable!

I've inveted a new word I think when Mum called me today

I said I'm full of "FEDUPNESS"

So having a day of getting it out of my system and maybe cancelling my birthday until I'm well enough to enjoy it and make up for Greg's birthday too

I'll get in touch with everyone as soon as I'm better.

I've missed you all and our little chats.

Hope to get back soon.

I was upset that Greg had to call my mum on Sunday to wish her happy Mother's day and then tell her I was in hospital. What a gift for her. Awful

But on occasions like that I don't like to miss out on here either

so to all the mum's everywhere I hope you had a lovely mothering sunday.

Sorry my good wishes are late

xxx

I had a card from Shogi & Guinevere next to my bed with some chocolates for when I'm better

We met these very interesting people from Australia in Ghunsa, when we descending from Kanchenjunga North BC. Sue and Howard are trekking in Nepal evangelists, they are authors of very detailed reports about treks around Manaslu and Kanchenjunga. I've read their report about Kanchenjunga trek and it was very useful ! Their latest Kanchenjunga guide can be found at fedup.com.au/images/stories/nepal/KangchenjungaTrek.pdf

........and I still didn't find what I was looking for

In today's race for immortality in the products we use, it is only fair to mention another worry, wasting solar energy. Hopefully, a new department of regulations will be created with thousands of regulations pertaining to solar functions permitted. In an administration that will be remembered for writing more regulations than all other administrations in the history of the United States, it is only right that the populace be further regimented by rule about how much sunshine we can consume and when we can consume such solar energy. If we the people, use more than our share, will there be enough sunhine for other nations?

This is what happens when you go shopping at 11pm after working an 11 hour day with a cold! At least we got stocked up with tea.

Was fedup with my old camera, the Sony A230 so bought the Canon EOS 70D.

Ah! The famous Fedup has been here!

The vast derelict property in Caversham that I've unilaterally decided to call 'The Lost City'

For those who really want to indulge, there's a gallows available.

(No wonder Gateshead is such a depressed place - it's the diet.)

Typical English summer weather: draped in raincoat and what looks like a shower curtain.

(Can't say where, exactly, this was taken, as we don't recognise the railings from current views.)

Seen yesterday in Williamson Square, Liverpool

Some new graffiti now appearing around Belfast.

please consider giving a christmas gift to this wonderful animal sanctuary who never turn an animal away and have huge food bills!

£5 will buy a bale of hay or straw for over the winter (the hay/straw bill is £300 per month)

or £5 would buy about 6 tins of pet food (they use approx 12 per day)

their feed bills are about £1,500 a month!

if anyone can help, or know any secret millionaires who are looking for a cause:

cheques are payable to: The Sanctuary Wildlife Centre
