Yeah, this is pretty mediocre.
When desire was chosen as the theme of today, the cover of the movie American Beauty sprung to mind; skin and rose petals, that kind of thing. Originally I had quite elaborate plans, but they didn't work out and I'm not going to dwell on it. This will suffice, but I am looking forward to doing the final shot tomorrow and being solely behind the camera thereafter.
i missed yesterday and this is a week old but to be honest emma's too fedup with this project to care.
i don't even know what to photograph anymore.
these are the only plants that are really growing outdoors and self portraits are just horrible (for me). fewgkirnhktnhj.
i should make a cake.
i shall.
It was fascinating to see people having their photo taken in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II including a poor little crying girl and a model with plenty of admirers.

Old shot I forgot to post. This is the look my grandson gives me when I've asked for just one more shot.
In the adjacent image he looks expectantly at me because I have put his lead on him and put my camera by the door. He is wondering if I am ready to go. In this one he has decided "Obviously not!"
Henry had had an exciting day out in London: on his return home, reality hit. First he took the consequences of me having given up a day to tidy and defumigate his elder brother's room - and was given insructions to clean his room. As he finished filling bags with clothes he no longer used, I attacked him with the camera. What a day!!! I was experimenting with different ISOs - I'm quite liking the noise from the high setting - I prefer it to the flash firing off - what do you think?
Managed to get the chance to point the camera at this little beauty.....
'Hurry up with that bloody camera, I've had enough now'
I've got to be able to see something bright today: something to put a smile on my face! Gareth is outside lashing the country with gales and floods: a country full of people slowly sinking into depression. No national spirit at all. Nothing to make us proud at the moment. We haven't got a clue what is going on around us.
So I'm posting a sunflower, enlarging the image on my screen and turning up the brilliance so that my face glows yellow. And I'm going to stare at it and imagine that I am a busy little (well, a fairly plump) bumble bee flitting from flower to flower in the sunshine, collecting pollen for my honey queen. That should make her smile too!
“I don't think there's anything on this planet that more trumpets life that the sunflower. For me that's because of the reason behind its name. Not because it looks like the sun but because it follows the sun. During the course of the day, the head tracks the journey of the sun across the sky. A satellite dish for sunshine. Wherever light is, no matter how weak, these flowers will find it. And that's such an admirable thing. And such a lesson in life.”

Mummy and Daddy were lucky enough to enjoy a New Years pint and glass of Prosecco at 4pm in the mucky pub and our daughters face summed it all up. Happy New Year everyone. :)
Took this photo in Perth a week or so back, we were heading back to Albany as the storm was approaching Perth, it made its way down here and has not left since with the exception of an occasional breakout of sun. Right now its miserable, cold, raining, seriously windy and at 8.20pm its 8.7C (although they say feels like 1.7C) To say I'm over it now is an understatement!!!
