Taken for Our Daily Challenge, "something fishy"

Complaints on air fresheners: for one thing my math teacher had fallen into the trap many crazed Febreze users have, more = better and fresher. We all gag through out class and are constantly opening windows when her back is turned. Second, it doesn't even smell like fresh spring breezes or whatever...smells like a lot of sugary disinfectant in a can. Thirdly THERE ARE WAY TO MANY CHOICES! like most products such as peanut butter, there are so many different brands when we really only need one.

Darcy May. She even had a bath for the first time in weeks. But apart from meeting a boring pair of setters she found no romance on the foggy shores of Ladybower and resigned herself to a quiet night in.

......one day I'll get to go where I want for a change. Somewhere with wall to wall excitement. perhaps Disneyland......

"The Patterson Project", conducted in 2015 in the Patterson Building, known as the “Grand old Lady” of Smith Street in Collingwood, was a street art project to raise money for the "Royal Children's Hospital".

Due to gentrification the perfectly distressed and worn floorboards, massive timber stairwell with ornate railings was renovated resulting in the removal of the artwork which made way for modern condos and apartments.

Today I was incredibly tired and did not want to get up for my second watch. Also, yesterday was a bit of a bad day and I got quite a bit homesick, which has carried over a little to today.

This is my first attempt at a self portrait (if you can really call it that...)

A farmer looking dejected at the Wensleydale Agricultural Show 2017.

Freeway is often called I-5. This truck says UPS on it, but I bet it has its DOWNS sometimes too.

I heard a little joke about UPS. It was just a joke, not a political nor business statement. It said that UPS and FedEx were going to merge... and call the merged company FedUp.

I could not see the manufacturer/brand name of this truck. Do any of you know if UPS always uses the same brand, like maybe Peterbilt or Freightliner, or do they use many different brands?

I hate Flickr's maps. That is NOT Glenwood, but it is Springfield!!! To be technical, it may not be a city at all, just one of the borders between Eugene and Springfield, both in Lane County, Oregon. Anyway, I try to get my pictures accurately done.

perhaps the least messy path to freedom would be provided by the simple declaration "i won't".

On this occasion, the wally was me! Why? For forgetting to take my Lumix off the rock on the bottom right of the image when I was taking it :p I've cloned it out now of course :)

Also cloned out the big buoy between the island and mainland (see previous picture), as well as the dust bunnies I've got, and had to straighten the lighthouse as well as the 10-20mm at 10mm doesn't half have some distortion :)

Oddly enough the colour is the one thing I've not touched in post-pro, I spent far too much time (ok 10 minutes) cloning out the camera, buoy and straightening the lighthouse that I was fedup already by then).

Nothing annoys liberals like flag waving and God praising, so I thought I would do a little of both.

The grass-roots network of fedup conservative-libertarian voters displayed its power in its biggest triumph of the election year: the toppling of Sen. Lisa Murkowski in Alaska's GOP primary. Political novice Joe Miller is the fifth tea party insurgent to win a GOP Senate nominating contest, an upset that few, if any, saw coming. Go Sarah go!

With the stunning outcome, the fledgling tea party coalition and voters who identify with its anti-tax, anti-spending sentiments proved that democracy is alive and well — within the Republican Party. Don't like who is representing you? Rise up, fire them and choose someone new.

The tea party has taken hold in the Grand Old Party, unseating lawmakers, capturing nominations for open seats and forcing Republicans to recalibrate both their campaign strategy and issues agenda. Out is talk of delivering federal dollars back home; in is talk of fiscal discipline. news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100902/ap_on_el_se/us_tea_party_power

A mistake has been made in the Oval Office makeover that goes beyond the beige.

President Obama's new presidential rug seemed beyond reproach, with quotations from Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. woven along its curved edge.

"The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice." According media reports, this quote keeping Obama company on his wheat-colored carpet is from King.

Except it's not a King quote. The words belong to a long-gone Bostonian champion of social progress. His roots in the republic ran so deep that his grandfather commanded the Minutemen at the Battle of Lexington.

This picture is S.O.O.P!

It's the revolution baby!

The ill-fated artist of the Ballets Russes died, in fact, not in Paris but in London in the spring of 1950. Three years after settling in at St Marylebone Cemetery, up Nijinsky came for his final journey to Montmartre in Paris. The French insisted that France had always been his spiritual home.
