110-366 ONE A DAY - 366 for the leap year! by Alan Foster

‘Woodn’t it be lovely’. When we had our very old and poorly Silver Birch taken down at the front we had it sawn so we could split it for logs - on going! Anyhow, some boughs were rotten & fell apart - these we have in various log piles or in this case a ‘feature’. This evening the low light was streaming through the Smoke bush down onto this right on cue. A usual reminder of importance to STAY AT HOME to stay VIRUS FREE and to NOT be a vehicle to pass it on to others, though I understand guidance have back peddled very slightly on the travel to somewhere to exercise. Stay safe, Alan:-)

366 - I’ve decided to do this to force me to pick up a camera other than when we are away on our travels (they will be posted as normal) - I will be interested to see what transpires, they will be varied I’m sure so we’ll see where inspiration takes me over the course of the year, hopefully at the end of it I will be a better photographer. Feel free to critique as you see fit, but please don’t feel obliged, I anticipate they will not be to all tastes. Have a great year and if you also have embarked on a 365 project then good luck in seeing it through, Alan:-)

African leopards (Panthera pardus pardus) are one of the two big cats, along with the lion and included in the big five of Africa, that inhabit the continent of Africa.

Queen Lorian, a very famous and senior female leopard, was found dead yesterday morning, mauled to death by either Lions or another Leopard. She has left behind a 14 month old son, Roho who shall to fend for himself in the wild.

This was my latest sighting of her during a photography Safari on an early morning game drive in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya.

Anywho… I’ve been experimenting with green screen shots more & more eversince the Mr SL photo challenges and I think I’ve gotten quite the hang of it! It makes for a MUCH speedier process for me and it basically gives you complete freedom to create a “scene” that fits your idea easily. It doesn’t work too well if you want a whole scene where you’re fully standing or “interacting” with everything in it though of course. But anytime that’s not needed then I think green screen may always be the way to go! 🎉
