From Wikipedia : "Parque das Nações (English: Park of the Nations) is a parish of the city of Lisbon, Portugal. It was created in 2012 from parts of the parishes Santa Maria dos Olivais (Lisbon), Sacavém and Moscavide (both part of Loures municipality). The population in 2011 was 21,025, in an area of 5.44 km².
A leisure, commercial, and residential area since the 1998 World Exposition it covers an extensive area in northeastern Lisbon next to the Tagus estuary, formerly used for mainly industrial purposes.
The area underwent a tremendous transformation in the 1990s when it was chosen as the location for the World Exhibition. After the exhibition, the area got its current name (although it is not uncommon for the Portuguese to still refer to it as "Expo"), and more transformations occurred such as the new Vasco da Gama shopping mall, the Lisbon's International Fair complex, hotels and many new office and residential buildings. Many attractions built for the Expo '98 remained and keep drawing visitors, such as the Oceanarium, one of the world's biggest aquariums."

Good morning everyone. Featured for Dragonfly Thursday is the Widow Skimmer (Libellula luctuosa). Just newly emerged or immature individuals for today starting with the above immature male.
Widow Skimmers are one of the most common dragonflies found across North America and locally are the most numerous at present, although their numbers will dwindle after the current surge of newly emerging individuals subsides. But for now they are number one in terms of numbers.
As for these photos, all were taken at the reclaimed strip mine. And since both gender look essentially the same when first emerged the easiest way to tell them apart is the female has dark wing tips, which the male typically lacks.
I also included one pic of an extremely fresh female taken only a matter of a few hours after it emerged...being the last photo in the comment section.

This is my fifth entry for the Colossal Castle Contest XVI. I always enjoy building microscale castle scenes, so I certainly wasn’t going to pass up the Micro Medieval Mountain category, even if the prize wasn’t very desirable for me…
The micro ship design was inspired by Henjin Quilones.
The fortress of Calbridge is built right into the Fjall mountains and its mighty walls protect the harbor and village along the coast.
