"A Petoskey stone is a rock and a fossil, often pebble-shaped, that is composed of a fossilized rugose coral, Hexagonaria percarinata. Such stones were formed as a result of glaciation, in which sheets of ice plucked stones from the bedrock, grinding off their rough edges and depositing them in the northwestern (and some in the northeastern) portion of Michigan's lower peninsula. In those same areas of Michigan, complete fossilized coral colony heads can be found in the source rocks for the Petoskey stones. Preikestolen, also known as Preacher's Rock, is one of the most visited natural tourist attractions in Norway. It consists of a truly vertical cliff rising 604 metres above Lysefjorden with an almost perfectly flat square top. As is common in Norway, there is no fencing or other safety devices as this would detract from the natural beauty of the site. So if go there, be careful and behave yourself!

Colorado Springs, CO - This was a fun project, I was assigned to take pictures for a landscape company to be featured in the Colorado Springs lifestyle magazine. Coincidently this house is going to be on the market soon and the agent will have this shot to use if she chooses.

The tricky part was due to the sun‘s position the two back porches were super dark due to heavy shadows. It took a little extra processing, blending overexposed shots to help bring out the shadows on the decks with the proper outside exposure. All making sure the overall the image looked natural.
