Fall Foliage Background

near St-Marc-Sur-Richelieu, Qc

Pretty leaves; it must be almost Fall.

This was at the summit over looking the valley. I have a habit of holding my breath when taking a picture, to keep the camera steady, with the altitude I was at I almost passed out for lack of oxygen. One day later it was even more golden, if you can imagine.

This was one of those shots where I wanted to jump up and down in excitement...Absolutely no enhancement...All Gods doing not mine!

(I did use a polarizer and turned it until I got the strongest color)

Fall is the perfect time for a tea party, a popular trend among socialites in the area.

Comlara's trail number six offers a breathtaking walk (or ride if you rather) thru the woods surrounding Lake Evergreen. The trail winds thru a grove of yellow maples that sing and dance their way thru our short fall season. Sammy enjoys the smells and the chance to run free while I enjoy the colors and, well, the chance to run free. We stopped a few times to piddle with the camera and take a few shots and here, I happen to catch him offering a pose for the taking. He's standing atop one of the many biking obstacles that I have yet to attempt, or more accurately put, fall off :-)

Another fall shot. I haven't had much opportunity to get out with my camera, so posting similar fall shots. Hope I am not boring you all to much. :-) Have a great Monday. I'll try to catch up on comments later.

I meant to post this yesterday for Wall Wednesday but time got away from me. So here it is, a day late. An old stone wall here in Lawrence with Fall leaves. From last year's archives again. Processed with an Artistic Painting effect and some added texture. In Lawrence, KS.

You never get to choose

You live on what they send you

And you know they're gonna use

Things you love against you

One foot in the grave

One foot in the shower

There's never time to save

You're paying by the hour

We have been very fortunate to actually catch colors this year. This red one against the blue background really made an impression, moreso than the usual yellow. Fall is most definitely my favorite season.

I think there is a rule in the flickr terms of use that states everyone in the northern hemisphere must include a photo of colorful fall foilage in thier photo stream this time of year

I collected a few leaves this fall and pressed them in books until I figured out what I wanted to do with them. I was experimenting today with my macro and decided it was time to to put them to some use so I came up with this. Thanks for stopping by.
