That's how my deck looks like every morning these days :) Later in the fall there will be much more leaves but no acorns....
Fall colors in Pyynikinharju, Tampere, Finland. Sun seen in picture is same evenings sun from two earlier pics :-) We are walking towards it.
This was a bit hair-raising. The wind was gusting to about 18mph. After I settled in for the photo, the drone dropped about a foot and the sonar height above the tree was only 17 ft. You can see some stitching errors from the gyrations of the drone.

Sometimes I wish for falling
Wish for the release
Wish for falling through the air
To give me some relief
Because falling's not the problem
When I'm falling I'm in peace
It's only when I hit the ground
It causes all the grief
I was in Sacramento for work and was overwhelmed by the awesome fall colors! We do not get to see these colors in Southern California. This tree was located in the Capital Mall near the Capital Building in Downtown Sacramento. If it wasn't for work and lots of rain, I would have taken more pics. Oh well, next time.
The lotus blossoms are gone and the leaves are slowly falling asleep for the winter. Soon I'll have to take the tubers out and try to overwinter them again.
