This was taken a couple of years ago in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. I went up on the Grand Mesa yesterday and the colors are starting to turn. The year this was taken the colors were late this year it seems like they might be slightly early.
I've been a bit amiss with my posting and will try to catch up a bit (again) but staying rather busy this Fall and now with the leaves just about at peak color I thought it time to head out and enjoy the scenery. High Point State Park has always been a popular destination in New Jersey and I've been here many, many times but this year may very well be the first time the monument was actually open! I brought my camera and wasn't disappointed with the inner stairway and its 291 steps. I should have run back to the car and got my tripod but I didn't. Then again, if I got the perfect stairway shot that I had in mind I probably wouldn't have come up with this Fall slider of sorts. So it goes and I'm happy on this fine Sunday! Created for the Slider Sunday group - HSS!
It's officially fall season. Let the color commence. I'm starting with magnificent gold color. I took this image in the Grand Tetons National Park near Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Aspen trees had just changed into their finest fall color and were showing off. I was obligated to photograph them (many times I might add). (Edited in Lightroom and Topaz)
"In the summer heat the reapers say, “We have seen her dancing with the autumn leaves, and we saw a drift of snow in her hair."
- Kahlil Gibran
Falling crispy leaves
A nip in the air
Sexy boots and woolly scarves
Hot cocoa in unusually large cups...
Yup....must be heaven... :D

Do not go where the path may lead.
Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
The rain and wind these days have not helped the trees with their colorful leaves. Most are falling dry and brown or still are green.
"It’s so easy to fall for fall."
Quote - Keith Wynn
Another autumn or fall delight ;-)). No idea what it is…. if you know, please tell me. Thanks!
Happy Sunday!
it was one of the wettest Octobers on record but it was as ever a really pretty month , and November is usually much wetter . so hoping for a drier month now

"You know me, I know you
And I wish you could tell me what to do
My dark side wanna get loose
So won't you look behind the scenes and get the groove
I fool myself
Keep on running around
Beneath the haze of love
I leave the ground
Let me fall
Let me fall
Let me fall, let me fall in deep
Let me get back somewhere
I never sleep
You seem not to feel blue
You're like a fish in there, no one can catch you
This town ain't no peace for me
And I will be gone when you get to me, when you follow my lead
I fool myself
Keep on running around
Beneath the haze of love
I leave the ground"
