A pair of fallen flags that are anything but native to Florida lead NS train 321 across the FEC drawbridge in downtown Jacksonville, with a less foreign NS ACe trailing. This was one of several times that the train had a nice variety of leasers in early February, but only one of two times I was able to catch him.

It's odd walking alone through a forest and not making a sound. The White River is racing by to the left providing the soundtrack for the day, but the moss and fallen Autumn leaves are so thick that footfalls make no noise. No wind, no rain, no people, just me and these quiet sentinels standing guard over their fallen comrades. I can't express how much I needed and miss that day. :-)
As always, blow this and step inside and look around. There's so much to see if we only take the time to look.
The waterfall seemed to light up this fallen tree at it's bottom. Why do people want to carve their names in Mother Nature? I find it really dispiriting. I could have taken out the carved names in the bark of the tree but that would go against how it is. Taken at the Henrhyd Waterfall in South Wales.

I was walking by the hibiscus plants and noticed these petals laying all over the sidewalk. It made me reflect on how beautiful things are so delicate and so easily destroyed. Enjoy the little things in life as much as you can, as things can fall apart with just a little breeze.
