Falling stars and stormy skies await visitors to Sky Fallen. A watery archipelago of rocky outcrops and haunting architecture, an Atlantian aire permeates the atmosphere of this intriguing place like the constantly falling rain.
I usually try to shoot around this fallen tree in Ellenwood Lake but thought that it may serve as the focal point for a sunrise. Taken just before sunrise.

Light and shadow meet.
Getting back to some simple abstract macro studies. Sometimes we come across images in nature that are not well defined but conjure a strong impression and mood. I can't help but feel I have visited an ancient place, with fallen statues, the feeling of weathered stone and the desolate. What does this evoke within you? Happy Monochrome Bokeh Thursday!

We have lots of ups and downs in life but when we see a flower fallen in the ground and the very next day we see another flower taking its place in the tree we feel that nature is a great healer.
Fallen leaves layered on the ground. The large, grayish leaves are those of Magnolia obovata (Japanese bigleaf magnolia, ‘Hō-noki’ in Japanese). They are sometimes used as plates or wrappers in Japanese traditional cuisine.
One of four trees in a small park that have fallen and/or snapped during the storm. I had walked past that tree in the morning. It was a genuine shock to see it lying there ... like someone I knew!
