Malayan Tiger ...
Panthera tigris jacksoni
The Malayan tiger wears the characteristic striping pattern of black stripes on orange and white that provides excellent camouflage in the forest. Using its quiet stalking ability, a tiger will ambush large prey, often pouncing on it from the rear. Other than females with their young, tigers are solitary and come together only to mate. Each tiger defends its own territory from others of the same gender. Territories must be large to provide enough prey for a tiger to eat. A tiger may travel up to 20 miles a night in search of prey. As more and more forests disappear, tigers struggle to maintain a territory with sufficient prey.

This is an older photo that I took when it snowed at my zoo. Since I haven't been able to go to the zoo because of bad weather I decided to post some more snowy pictures that never got posted.
We still have snow on the ground . The temp was -5 degrees this morning. We are suppose to get a mix of rain & snow starting Sunday. I'm ready for Old Man Winter to be over.
Have a nice night everyone!
one of my favorite things about the new house i'm staying in is that this whole woodsy area is right across the street. for the school year in maine my house is sort of apart from the rest of town and there's tons of trees and little paths. actually so convenient though, especially when i get wicked hungry or something in the middle of taking photos.

Buongiorno Amore .
Inizia la giornata.

So I pulled a roll out of a film back and I was shooting 16 year old ASA 50 slide film when I thought I was shooting Portra 160. Oops. So I pushed it and figured, what the hell, let's cross process it while we're at it. I figured the color would have been a little shifty even had I shot it box speed, since it's pre-Y2K(I just wanted to type "Y2K" right there) slide film. This is a small crop of the original. I wanted more of the light post for perspective. Had this been actual fresh Portra 160, it would've been pretty dope. They still came out kinda cool, but I'm not a cross process kinda guy. This was the appropriate way to find out, it just isn't my bag.
