Last fall's flowers

A stand of birch, a dazzling flash of colour captured with a slow shutter speed and sweeping motion of the camera, and a vibrant overlay from an out-of-focus shot.

One of my favorite shots from last year, a local waterfall at peak colors. Hoping for more of the same this year, but with new areas in mind.

This was supposed to be a sunrise. But the fog rolled in.

And the fog softens the colors, adding its own mystery. On this morning, it may have been better than a sunrise.
