This must be the view when you are falling off those tall trees in autumn.

The "greenies", as we affectionately call this pair, make their return trip to Northtown with fall colors really starting to pop.

A crossing malfunction in Big Lake forced a very slow pass through town, which was great because it allowed lots of shots to be taken.

As I've mentioned in previous photos, the BN merger was 50 years ago this year, and BNSF was 25 years ago this month.

Minus a few details, you almost wouldn't even have known the BN ceased to exist 25 years ago looking at this train.

Cariboo was in the process of taking off the velvet on antler. He still figured he had velvet since he also rubbed the back side to antler. A sight rarely seen.

As the morning mist settles along the creek-bottom pasture, the silhouettes of the cows in dim light amble over to see what I’m doing. As a small amount of new day light begins to make the aging silo shine, with the moisture sparkling on the wet grass, all is well with the world in the valley.
