It honestly seems like fall here... it was 40 this morning when I woke up O_O
It could just be me or something but I'm super excited for fall and maybe that's why I'm thinking it's fall? Seriously. Who doesn't love fall? Cardigans, hot cocoa, boots, scarves, leaves, colors, smells, school, etc.
And the leaves are falling here which is surprisingly early...
p.s comments are appreciated :D
Playing between the breaking waves is a favourite pastime on an incoming tide. the odd big wave will cover the sand, and give wonderful reflections and patterns for a few seconds, till the next big wave. Fall together by the Temper Trap seemed suitable, as the sky and it's reflections seem to fall towards each other.
For a period this Fall, the color here in New Hampshire was intense.... Although it may look as if I boosted the saturation of some channels, not so.
I've often puzzled over the phrase "falling in love" but when I remember what I felt like during the first heady months with my now husband, I guess that it's a good way to describe it, and I was fortunate because my leap off the cliff into the unknown had a soft landing, a wonderful cloud that I still reside on. This photo was taken by my mother of her younger sister Violet and my father's little brother Danny, probably in the summer of 1953 in front of my grandmother's garden. They were together from youth, and now are together on some other earthly plain.

Ahora apenas quedan cinco.
-¿Cinco qué, querida? Díselo a tu Susie.
-Hojas, cuento hojas, le dijo ensimismada mirando a la ventana. Miro como poco a poco ese árbol se va quedando desnudo y por momentos parece perder la vida...
Driving through town I came across the beautiful maple tree in a cemetery standing all alone in its glorious fall color. I had to pause, take a photo and say a prayer for those who had gone before me hoping they had found the home of their heavenly father. Best view is on black.
Walking along a trail going back to my car because it started raining. Looked down and saw this cool collection of leaves.

Welp, it is 2016! I feel a picture of a road has its place today, reminding us of where we have come from, where we want to go, and the joys and struggles that lie in our path. This is one of my favorite roads... and it leads to the beautiful Pacific.
I hope everyone has a legendary year!

North Section, Shenandoah National Park
Rappahannock County, Virginia
Although we were too late for peak fall color, we found some pockets of color among the many bare trees along Skyline Drive in the north section of Shenandoah National Park last week.
