clear, to us anyways. Not all PPF is made the same way. Most films have acrylic topcoats that over time wear and yellow. These two features not only diminish the pleasing aesthetics but they also affect removability. Worn and crazed clear bra means an $$$expensive$$$ removal. Stick with us and you will not only recieve top notch film, but top notch customer service as well. We are here to answer all of your questions and concerns. Don't hesitate, call today! 469-522-7777

Alcohol ink is apparently not the best way to darken a plastic skintone...however if you want a face that's almost neon red it's perfect :p but I never say die (perhaps I should never say "dye" if this is the result!) so I'm determined she can be salvaged!

Si la hice, no la recuerdo :) Si la hice, no la encuentro

This didn't last long...

Randomly I realized I didn't have a screenshot of this guy. Fail Whale - what you know all the tech folk/twitter addicts will be talking about whenever he appears. Also it's just fun to say Fail Whale.

...And of course seconds after I get the Fail Whale Twitter is back. So there will be no excited mass panic or blogging or ranting. Darn.

...Meanwhile do you notice how happy the whale is? And are those birds taking him back to the ocean or taking him away...elsewhere? You'd think a whale would look more nervous if he was actually leaving the water. Also those are some pretty strong birds - there are only 8 of them. This makes me wonder if some fellow nerd has already done the math to figure how much weight each of those birds is carrying. (Yes, I googled - I'm still looking.)

Meanwhile this is a hysterical fail whale alternative image:

Also the blog post:

Fail Whale's Birds Must Work Out A Lot - Or They're Really Pterosaurs

where I ponder whether 8 pterosaurs could carry a whale.

This is a children's toy store right next door to a lingerie store. I suppose it makes it easier for some people to do both at once?

are you sure?

So, this didn't work out. It might be the last time I mess around with egg white as an additive in sorbet. The egg made the texture too airy - more like a granita than a sorbet - possibly because I added it too soon. I've had more success with alcohol as an additive for texture.

I used this recipe, and the flavor was wonderful:

I'd just skip the egg next time.

Oh well, now I have a quart of blueberry granita in the freezer!

For a long time I tried to pleat cones to make lampshades, and they always fail because pleating is controlled crushing, so if you want a cone, you have to start with a cylinder and pinch it on one end. If you pleat a cone, it becomes flat.

sorry for the blurry pic...

was so fed up using the sukerukun (and wanting to get rid of this batch X( )

The print glitched on this prototype tentacle mould, which hid the flaws in the design.

It's better to do just one component at a time, to reduce the risk of error.

Fail shot, looked good on the view finder though.

From the WPPD 2012 outing to Bishop's Close. There was a very handsome duck hanging out in this pond. He was much too far away for a pinhole portrait, but I did it anyway. Fail.

I pick up pennies. I do so without fail unless I see one where my life would be endangered should I pause to pick it up. Such as crossing a busy street.

See a penny, pick it up

All day long you'll have good luck!

My husband's son throws them away. This came up in conversation several weeks ago when he was over at our house for dinner. When I asked for clarification because, surely, I must have heard him incorrectly he said, that's what people do.

Is that really what people do? I can't seem to let go of this one. He came over for dinner again yesterday and I couldn't keep the thought out of my mind, that, this young man - this young man who is genetically related to my dear husband throws money in the garbage.

I think of all the poverty in the world, of all the penny drives and charities that gladly take your pennies and of the kazillion pennies I've rolled and deposited in the bank over my lifetime and I feel dismay and... repulsion at this young person's attitude and the derision in his voice when he clarified for me that people throw pennies in the garbage.

I said nothing in response to this because I've learned that offering any sort of guidance to the boy usually ends up hurting my husband: the boy will refrain from visiting because heaven forbid that we try to influence him in any way. So many things pop into my head in the form of my mother's voice and I silence them because there is nothing to be done and speaking of it just hurts my husband more. I can't see any of his father in the boy and I think the mother would consider that a triumph.

Am I completely out of touch with the world? Do people really throw these away?
