Allison and I were playing Fast and the Furious Super Bikes when right before the game was about to finish, both of our machines crashed. And for different reasons.
Hers crashed with this error message and mine went into a DOS prompt.

This message from Altria (read: Philip Morris) was directed to me by LinkedIn due to either my "title, primary industry, or region". Huh? I'm a grad student, in technology, in San Francisco. I fit the demographic you want? Yeah, right.
Nobody seems to like this photo. I find it very funny! This shot is from a real game!
Thème sourire.
J'aime bien cette photo prise dans l'action. Je n'ai pas eu beaucoup de vote cependant. Le lien avec le thème n'était peut-être pas évident.

I don't post many screenshots of my stuff here, but this was fun. I got an email that the two photos I submitted to Fail Blog are on the voting page right now. Click this link, scroll a ways, and you should find them! Enough votes and it ends up on the front page where people can leave inane comments, I guess... failblog.org/vote/
Been working on it for about a week with no luck so far.
Being totally broke does not make anything easier...
Worst part was most of the stitches were some of the best trains and graff ive caught over the past year and a half... I was intending to make some kind of book out of them...
Not to mention the month of photos i had not yet edited and posted here...
So as i said about 2 years ago, BACKUP YOUR FILES AND USE GOOD HARDWARE REDUNDANTLY!
I hope to be taking my own advice as soon as i can afford a few new hard drives.
The idiot in the beige Pontiac pulled up moments before the 3985 rounded the curve, screwing up the shots of several people who had set up long before the train arrived.

Seeking a photo op for the Denver Digital Photography Meetup group's September photo contest on the theme of Colorado History, I rode down to see if I could get some pics of the Highlands Ranch Mansion, a rare gem of history in the otherwise bleak, McMansioned landscape of this southern suburb of Denver.
I read beforehand that it was owned by Shea Homes and was not open to the public, but I thought for sure I'd at least have a photo-worthy view of the place. Wrong. :P To add insult to injury, the mansion was open just last weekend for a tour, yet of course I only found this out exactly one week too late. Doh!
At least I now know it exists and can keep my eyes open for other opportunities to tour this interesting historical site.
