Take a photo every day in 2012 no restrictions no exceptions

Perfect situation to try my hand at focus stack but for whatever reasons it failed. Although the movement from the people on the street made for an interesting series to do a time lapse so I tried a short video but didn’t work out either.

Bummer, but them's the breaks... There's always next year...

You see Point A and Point B, but there is just no way to get there. lol

Secret 2-

I know it's dumb compared to real problems, but today I failed my driver's license test, and it upset me pretty bad. I'm a smart kid and I could count the number of times I've failed anything on one hand. I've never made a dent on either of my parent's cars, much less gotten arrested or in an accident.

The reason I failed: I crossed the double yellow line on Plum Street. (@#$@@#?!?!?!??!?!?!!!???!)(I have no more idea what that means than you do.)

Heaven Forbid I do something REALLY bad, like sneeze, or possibly take a hand off the steering wheel for a milisecond.

I've decided the examener's son probably was fatally injured in a teenage car crash, and to get revenge she got a job failing everyone she can.

Crapity crap crap.

Lately my walls have been laughing at me.

Feeding nothing but negative thoughts, I have no ideas anymore.

I'm starting fresh.

have a good night flickr.

I would offer a suggestion to younger documentary photographers. Keep records.

I took this picture, and several others, of this old house in the late 1970s. It was somewhere in the area surrounding Jefferson City, TN. I thought I would remember where it was, but now I don't. I can't go back and photograph it again. And I can't give it to those who might have some connection to this home.

Memory fails. Trust me. But written records don't.

Failed mission tonight. Ended up spending more time walking watery tunnels then light painting. New ideas are brewing. In the meantime I just played around with color combinations of glow stick splatter drips.

While I failed completely to get any actual in-the-air-jumping shots, I couldn't not upload this one, it just cracks me up too much. (All cropped now!)

To those about to jump, I salute you.

Using a magnet for a barrette was a fail (at least the way we did it... still worth experimenting with, though!)

We got these cute button & ribbon goodies at Knittn' Kitten, Portland's craft thrift store!

FULL tutorial for many kinds of barrettes: dollarstorecrafts.com/2009/08/baby-barrettes/

Making cute barrettes for newborns, infants, and little girls is a simple and fun project. My mom and I were only too overjoyed to experiment when we were faced with several baby showers for female babies (there are no little girls in our family yet!). We made hair adornments with newborns and infants in mind, and we experimented with several different styles, sizes, and hair-clipping methods.

First off, we hit up our favorite local craft thrift store (if you like crafting and you are ever in Portland, OR, I highly suggest scheduling in a trip to Knittn’ Kitten!) and gathered supplies for making wee barrettes. You can use whatever you have in your stash, too!

Erste Eindrücke - ob das bei mir auch so passieren wird?

The evening of the 5th day of our Rhine Cruise saw us leaving Koblenz and heading downriver towards Cologne, and it was time for some entertainment put on by the staff. What a fun evening!

This gal was supposed to be a circus tightrope walker, and got several gentlemen from the audience, including my husband, to hold the rope tight. After a number of failed attemps, since the fellows couldn't hold the rope tight when she tried to get on, she hauled out her wet laundry and proceeded to hang it on the tightrope turned clothesline! Just a failed shot that I pushed out trying to submit to a camera club contest. It looks great save for the scarf on the left. Likely a casualty of over processing.

Randomly I realized I didn't have a screenshot of this guy. Fail Whale - what you know all the tech folk/twitter addicts will be talking about whenever he appears. Also it's just fun to say Fail Whale.

...And of course seconds after I get the Fail Whale Twitter is back. So there will be no excited mass panic or blogging or ranting. Darn.

...Meanwhile do you notice how happy the whale is? And are those birds taking him back to the ocean or taking him away...elsewhere? You'd think a whale would look more nervous if he was actually leaving the water. Also those are some pretty strong birds - there are only 8 of them. This makes me wonder if some fellow nerd has already done the math to figure how much weight each of those birds is carrying. (Yes, I googled - I'm still looking.)

Meanwhile this is a hysterical fail whale alternative image:

Fail Whale's Birds Must Work Out A Lot - Or They're Really Pterosaurs
