A beautiful small stream in the parkland of Arlington Court, Devon

I decided to try my hand at something a little new, inspired by the AMAZING KittyPinkStars and Siansburys, and this is what I came up with. Trying to be a unique as possible....my idea was a sock faerie - he turned out quite punk rock. I'm thinking of putting him up on etsy - but I'm not sure yet...hmmm. Certainly a funny little guy though.

This is the first in our new art collection at Dragon-Fly Photography Studio. This series was created from our fascination with faeries and the fantasy genre.

My original treatment scored a lousy 18 (6+6+6) at a recent GRIPS competition, even though I got several positive comments for it on Flickr and Facebook. After discussing it with my photo evaluation group, I decided to clone out the paint drop from the one eye and try a sepia tone, and didn't add any grain. Perhaps the judges would have preferred this one.

The Peatbog Faeries play The Old Fire Station, Carlisle, Cumbria

The Peatbog Faeries are a largely instrumental Celtic fusion band. Formed in 1991, they are based in Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye, Scotland.

Their music embodies many styles and influences, including folk, electronica, rock and jazz, - but their main influence is traditional celtic music. The band's unique sound is created through a mix of programmed effects and traditional celtic arrangements, played on bagpipes, fiddles, and whistles.

The band have twice won "Live Band of the Year" at the Scottish Traditional Music Awards and were nominated for "Live Band of the Year" at the BBC Radio 2 folk awards.

Taking time out in the Chai Tent. At the Woodford Folk Festival 2009-10.

Butterfly-shaped European macrame creation.

These cute little butterflies are very a real beauty! You can use them for your home deco, or to also embellish your clothes and/or creations (for instance, it would be vintagely glamour on a a bell-shaped skirt).

Each butterfly measures about 18 x 13 cm.

This was held in Hunt Valley Maryland. Had a blast!!

My neighbours child said I must put these on my site..

My backdrop didn't work how I wanted, so I used the window instead. I finally splurged and got her some beautiful wings. :)

Holly Faerie is a OOAK beaded art doll. She is bal-jointed and has 13 points of articulation. She is made of Japanese glass seed beads, organic cotton thread & fiber fill, ahimsa silk thread, and Swarovski pearls. She is about 9 inches tall. There is a lot of interesting lore about the holly plant, I posted a little about that on my website, if anyone wants to read it, here is the link: faeriedustdolls.wordpress.com/2015/08/17/holly-faerie/

A wonderful find to be sure. Playing with the macro selection on my camera brought me up a tree, to find this wonderful little faerie abode. For scale the mushroom is about a half an inch tall.
