Preliminary drawring for the Faeries side of the split 7". Wanted something illustrative to match up with the very lovely illustration that will be on the other side.
A wonderful find to be sure. Playing with the macro selection on my camera brought me up a tree, to find this wonderful little faerie abode. For scale the mushroom is about a half an inch tall.
The wall is silence, the grass is sleep,
Tall trees of peace their vigil keep,
And the Fairy of Dreams with moth-wings furled
Plays soft on her flute to the drowsy world.

A cute faerie who looks like she is thinking about something fun! She has cute swirly pastel colored wings.
The original painting was created with waterproof ink, watercolors on paper.

Hattie is a gorgeous handknitted faerie bear. She has green sparkly lace-knitted wings, a matching wooden wand and a faerie charm necklace with drops of labradorite gemstones, which can be removed and used as a keyring/bag charm.
