The fairy poet takes a sheet

Of moonbeam, silver white;

His ink is dew from daisies sweet,

His pen a point of light.

~Joyce Kilmer

As I walked towards Santeetlah Creek I noticed a beaver in the water. All the guys with me wanted to try to follow it downstream towards its dam... until we noticed all of these butterflies on the ground dancing in a circle.

It was one of those moments that simply takes your breath away. It is magical to see a butterfly as it lands, it moves almost like a fairy or a pixie. Far more esoteric than just a regular bug. Yet to see a group of these fair beings standing together in a circle was much more than just special.

Sadly as I looked through the treeline, I could see the damage being done by the loggers returning to the area, after a hundred year hiatus. Thanks to the current US president, these protected areas were now eligible for logging again. I could almost imagine these butterflies meeting together to talk about how to get their land back, their habitat, their life.

The feast you see before you now

Through magic has been reaped.

So mind you are not tempted

To take a bite to eat.

For if a human swallows

Just one morsel of this fare,

They’ll be ensnared in Faeryland

And stay FOREVER there!

I'm working on some dread beads for the P~Haus shop... I would like to make some Blythe pulls out of these as well! These are totally hand sewn, with no yucky glues to make them hard and unwearable (imo)!

Musicians from the Riverfolk Jam Camp played an impromptu jam session on the Manchester Mill porch for the Faerie Festival.

"This folly is constructed with repurposed items from the estate, including iron and stone elements from earlier gardens. The Faerie Cottage is located in Enchanted Woods, a unique children’s garden created for children of all ages to enjoy and explore."

Now is the time to remember the spirits of nature.

Beings of the mountains, ocean, wind and trees are our companions in this time of planetary transformation.

...Be still and awaken to the gentle light that reveals the beauty of our ancient belonging.

Listen for the message whispered on the winds, calling us to reclaim our place as lovers and stewards of the land.

As we remember who we are, our hearts begin to unfold the promises we have made and our realities begin to illuminate with endless possibility.

A hidden path to the land of Fairies!

Photographed on the corner of Wakefield and Pulteney Streets during the 2019 Christmas Pageant in Adelaide, South Australia.

Bewitchingly beautiful! "Faerie Queen" bracelet enchants with its 8 plump, sparkling diamond roundels totaling 4.10 carats, caught by fine twists of platinum connecting the artist's small & delicate, 18 karat carved gold "Faerie" elements from the "Antiquities" series by designer Eve J. Alfillé. These 7 inches of magical, wearable treasure are accented with 3 round diamonds totaling 0.02 carats (F-G/VS) sprinkled on the clasp like fairy dust.

A pixie pin, this pretty brooch features a vintage brass bow pin back. I set a vintage orange colored glass crystal in antiqued brass and hanging in front is a brass fairy I have shaped slightly to drape across the crystal.

The brooch measures 1 and 3/4 of an inch in length from top to bottom and the brass bow measures 1 inch across.

This is my original artwork of a faerie holding a small dragon it her hand.

There is a an oriental feel to it.

I think I must have been thinking about the animated disney movie Mulan!

LOL who doesn't adore animated disney movies?

This is a watercolour painting on illustration board.

The actual size of the board is 8 x 10 inches but there is a slight border around it.
