Maryah has been making these things like they're going out of style - and they're not!! They make fantastic christmas tree ornaments. They are for sale at House of Indigo Boutique in Nanaimo, as well as making appearances at several craft/art shows as Christmas approaches.
Playing with techniques in my journal to see how they look before putting them in the Faerie Book I'm working on.

I created this faerie/nymph look for a friend. It's a mix of bold baby blue, pink, purple eyeshadows and various coloured glitter. Oh, and HUGE costume lashes.
I have a video tutorial here to show you how to recreate this look: www.youtube.com/watch?v=GF3BRRCDv0g
I've been working on Holly, she's the faerie of the holly plant. I thought she would be really cute for Christmas. There is a lot of interesting lore about the holly plant, and it has healing properties too! I will be writing more about that when she is all finished. ^_^
This guy was fabulous. He looked great and if i heard right drove down from Canada to be here. I know that is how rumors get started , but in any case he was a very fae faerie. Kudos to you sir.
I photographed this place in summer www.flickr.com/photos/longsidepies/3657972398/ and revisited it yesterday to see the contrast. I love the leaf colours and it seems a black bin liner has joined the party.

Actually the "lights" are drops of melted snow sitting on a solar panel that we use to charge the battery for the electric fence on the chicken run.

Matt West Inspired me to go hunting for fearies with my camera. I wasn't sure I'd find one in Georgia. But I did manage to find this one chilling on this flower.
On closer inspection of the picture I realized it had a striking resemblance to my sister with a wing sitting on a flower. Granted my colouring wasn't all that great, but this was my first time really messing with photomerging. Done with Photoshop CS. May 2006.
