Actually the "lights" are drops of melted snow sitting on a solar panel that we use to charge the battery for the electric fence on the chicken run.

Face-up and wig by me... It's my first face-upfor a bjd. It's not perfect but it's just what I wanted. Her yes are not that great either.... I ordered the wrong size. LOL I think she may be a bit cross-eyed or the photo angle is not that great.

This is Luna. My Vampire Firefly Faerie from Charles Creature Cabinet.

She is about the same size as a petite Blythe.

This plushie I made on commission, but the design is my own, based on this picture from my blog:

The eyes were a bit of a challenge as I haven't made them like this before, but I think they turned out ok.

When the theme calls for fantasy, my costume of choice is faerie. This is my most recent creation.

coptic bound, my handmade, hand painted faerie papers, archival bookboard, handmade archival rice paste.

sewn with purple waxed Irish linen thread, handmade & recycled paper pages, dragonfly charm, silver beads, silver eyelets, hand sponged pages & edges.

2007 collaboration with the lovely Miss Hannah Wells (angry faerie on the right).

a nightly stroll through the woods resulted in me feeling enchanted by the fireflies abound... (f2.8, 159sec)

Matt West Inspired me to go hunting for fearies with my camera. I wasn't sure I'd find one in Georgia. But I did manage to find this one chilling on this flower.

On closer inspection of the picture I realized it had a striking resemblance to my sister with a wing sitting on a flower. Granted my colouring wasn't all that great, but this was my first time really messing with photomerging. Done with Photoshop CS. May 2006.

John's art wig from Leeke finally came in!

This little arrangement was in a friend's home. I grabbed my camera, took the pic, and here it is. A couple of giclees of this sold.

Went mushroom hunting this morning :)

A needlefelted spring faerie. She is a freestanding sculpture and is about 8" tall.

If this video loads correctly then no explanation will be needed. However, faeries are notoriously bad with technology so we will see. This upload is late due to the intense struggle my computer and I have already had. But rest assured that I will not cease to pursue this venture until I am victorious and you are able to enjoy all 15 seconds of spectacular imagery. It might just change your life. I know it will mine. :)

Oh, darn!

I missed her!

She was just waking up from a nap just before twilight.

She was stretching so peacefully, lying on her gossamer hammock.

Then she saw me, gave me a quick wink and flew away before the shutter could catch her.

Better luck next time.
