This is as far as you should go on a LCW fader ND filter. rotating past the arrow toward the MAX will give you the cross effect.
Accidental double exposure. It's hard to remember if you've wound the film in 100+ degree heat.
From a day exploring in Llano, CA with Electricmess82 and dacoach89_89.
I think this was taken at the Llano Socialist Colony ruins.
This once faded sign has been restored to its former luster and advertises Peter Pan Bread and quality meats at Holst's Market. It is located in the East Village of Davenport, Iowa.
This work belongs to the shot series I did for "Let Down", I've realized that the central image could be a work by itself. Again I was listening Radiohead and I felt involved to make a piece following my state of mind, as always of course... this work is so meaningful to me according to the song, so if you have the possibility I suggest you to look at this one listening Radiohead' Street Spirit.
I also suggest you a full view... thank you for the patience, really... any comment will be welcome
Radiohead - Street Spirit (Fade Out)
Rows of houses, all bearing down on me
I can feel their blue hands touching me
All these things into position
All these things we'll one day swallow whole
And fade out again and fade out
This machine will, will not communicate
These thoughts and the strain I am under
Be a world child, form a circle
Before we all go under
And fade out again and fade out again
Cracked eggs, dead birds
Scream as they fight for life
I can feel death, can see its beady eyes
All these things into position
All these things we'll one day swallow whole
And fade out again and fade out again
Immerse your soul in love
Immerse your soul in love
Here's a rose from my garden
Where the bloom of romance grows
But I'll keep on a part near my aching heart
Just a petal from a faded rose
Love'd be sweet in the morning
When the breeze of summer blows
But will fade and die when the wind is nigh
Like a petal from a faded rose
I can feel death, can see its beady eyes
All these things into position
All these things we'll one day swallow whole
And fade out again
and fade out again...

The camellias are fading fast, dropping a carpet of pink petals all over the flagstone; but I managed to catch this beauty in her faded glory. The edges of the petals turn blue-ish before shriveling.
On one of the short days of November, I made my way out to take a look at the Archimedes wind pump ruins on the northeast corner of Salt Pond E10. This array of eight pumps must have been a sight back when they were all running. Visible from Highway 92, they spent many of their post-operational years displaying the word LESLIE, one letter per pump, as an advertisement of sorts for the Leslie Salt Company.
After taking a few photographs of the pump array, I headed back down the E10/E11 levee toward Mt. Eden Creek and continued my photo session from the creek’s north levee. With a relatively light wind out of the north, my 7.5-foot Rokkaku carried the camera cradle downwind at a relatively low altitude. This eventually placed the camera over the shallows of Salt Pond E13 on the other side of the creek. There a flock of shorebirds was gathered out of my sight on the pond bottom. Unbeknownst to me at the time, I took a nice series of photographs of this flock densely arrayed on the ground. At one point the flock flushed, either due to my kite or a Northern Harrier that was working the creek’s south levee. I then became aware of the birds and captured several photographs as they circled below my camera. It was late in the day, so the light was fading and a slow shutter speed produced a bit of blur. Still, these are interesting shots for they show how closely the birds fly to each other.
To be clear, I avoid flying near flocks of birds at rest or in the air. These photographs only occurred because I was on the other side of Mt. Eden Creek and could not see the flock on the ground in Salt Pond E13. I was relieved that the flock settled down quickly, within 5 minutes of so, after they were flushed and I still like to think that the Northern Harrier was the culprit.
I am taking these documentary photographs under a Special Use Permit from the California Department of Fish & Wildlife. Kite flying is prohibited over the Eden Landing Ecological Reserve without a Special Use Permit.

The kids from drama got us a bunch of flowers each as a thank you for Bugsy Malone, which was sweet of them.
They're just about fading now.

The Hill Garden and Pergola,
Hampstead Heath,
London.
TAKEN - Wed 1st Sept'21
Hampstead Pergola is a wonderful example of faded grandeur, and is undeniably one of London’s hidden treasures. It is essentially a raised walkway, overgrown with vines and exotic flowers, and is set amidst some wonderfully dramatic gardens.
The history of the Pergola goes back to 1904 when Lord Leverhulme, a wealthy philanthropist and lover of landscape gardening, purchased a large town house on the Heath called “The Hill”. Over the following year Lord Leverhulme expanded his estate by acquiring the surrounding land, and with this new found space he decided to build a legacy; his Pergola. He wanted it to be the setting for extravagant Edwardian garden parties, while at the same time being a place where his family and friends could spend long summer evenings enjoying the spectacular gardens.
Some color fade on Al's line up. He's got some or had some really nice stuff. He's sold a bunch of these since these shots were taken.
Farewell, fair day and fading light,
Mark the huge sun now downward soar,
Farewell. We twain shall meet no more.
Robert Louis Stevenson, you sir are a genius...

Jag försöker utmana mig själv att hitta en bild bland de jag råkat ta under veckan som kan passa temat. Den här veckan får #fader representeras av Theodor Kallifatides, en svensk författare vars barn fick höra att deras fader inte kunde svenska så bra?
