Still glowing. 10 days after activating, the glow stick is only just visible in the dark. 60s exposure.
While we're living, the dreams we had as children fade away. But still the memories remain. And so they keep on smoldering, like little dim sparks ready to start a great fire... Lighting up the hope of our dreams once again. An empty seat is not a last chance, just a forgotten one.
The day I shot this was a day that produced a couple of great images of our Bayview Bridge and I've received some great feedback about them. There were a few images that I hadn't even looked at so I went back today, picked one, and processed it. That basically consisted of converting it to jpeg from RAW. It needed little else. I really like how it turned out. I hope the sky repeats itself soon. That day was awesome.

I was visiting the southernmost point of Saaremaa, Estonia where i did set up my tripod to take long exposure shots of fading light. Sea was pretty quiet at that time and i really liked tranquility at that location. It was just me, my girlfriend, our tent and fireplace. What more to ask?

I did have to darken the photo just so the image could be seen.
I came across this idea by mistake but ended up trying it out. Could've been better but I'm content with the result. This mirror was really neat-looking so I knew I HAD to take photos with it.
CSX 7889 is among the hundreds of units in the Waycross deadlines, yet this engine is special to its own degree. It was one of the many sticker units from back in the day, this one wearing an ACL sticker. However, with its deadline sentence, the sticker on this side is very sunbleached and faded.
Although a member of the BNSF fleet now, this warbonnet themed locomotive still sports its Santa Fe Railroad logo.
Stinky, or Stinky Lessa Sweetness, is almost 17 years old. Last week, she was diagnosed with diabetes. That explains the shaved neck. She gets injections twice a day. She really is doing much better.
Here, she displays her faded glory. Even though she's got a bad ear and several shaved patches from blood tests, she's still a looker.

One from the garden taken last May.
Lately I've noticed the hits on my stream are fading away (less than 100 today for the first time in years when I posted this) and shots that used to get hits from Google vanished overnight. Has anyone else noticed anything similar
Another 'Painting a Picture' following Katie Pertiet's second tutorial (thanks Katie!).
These two tired old workers were seen whilst travelling up the west coast of Scotland. Lots of layers, two or three textures (unknowns I'm afraid) and lots of playing !
Agfa Ambi Silette with CineStill 500T (aka 800T) negative film. This film is repackaged movie film with the Remjet backing removed and respooled into small canisters for still cameras.

In July 2020 in a brief window the travel warnings were lifted and sailing resumed to and from Svalbard. I made my way from Denmark to Longyearbyen and then out with Hurtigruten on the first ship out of port for a journey to the northern tip of Svalbard and Moffen Island where we crossed 80 degrees north.
These are the photos from that journey.

This flower is fading fast, but I thought that the colors and shapes were still interesting.
Strobist info: I wanted to show the translucent quality of the petals so I back lit the flower by placing a Strobie 130 in a Rogue grid behind to camera left at 10 o'clock. For fill light a placed a YN560-II in a 24 inch soft box, camera left and in front at 7 o'clock. Both strobes, in manual mode, were triggered by a Yongnuo RF-603N.

Some of our Amaryllis flowers are fading fast, even as others come into bloom. The petals become more transparent and so I thought a white background more appropriate.
