This was a real problem slide to restore. A hole in it, faded, crayon over the image and decades of poor storage.
Taken in October 1971, I can't go back in time to re-take it, so it was worth it for a tiny glimpse of the past.
Before the blue hydrangea flowers fade they go through several tints ... here they are in their green state! So I put them together with one of my latest miniature vases from Yuta Segawa. The background bokeh is the hydrangea bush beyond the window...
Happy Bokeh Wednesday!
When I looked it up online I discovered ....."Hydrangea flowers can turn green in response to fewer hours of daylight. With less sunlight there is less energy for the flower heads to produce the blue, pink or white pigmentation in the blooms. This causes the hydrangea flowers to fade from their original color to green in late Summer"

I wanna hold the hand inside you
I wanna take the breath that's true
I look to you and I see nothing
I look to you to see the truth
XXI century. Devastated by environmental disasters from the ashes of an abandoned city a new place emerges from the darkness. Its name is FADE TO GREY. Fade to grey is small town where you can explore to make photo, to play and listen all kind of music. Come to visit here [maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Imagine/14/57/28 ]
Managed to get another one of those colds. So not much time to take pictures right now. But I'm heading down to the south coast at the weekend, so hopefully I will be able to get some different shots.
Another old Missouri barn....fading, blending in with its surroundings. Perhaps fated to disappear completely and let nature have its way....

You live your life, you go in shadows
You'll come apart, and you'll go black
Some kind of night into your darkness
Colors your eyes with what's not there
Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew
A stranger's light comes on slowly
A stranger's heart without a home
You put your hands into your head
And then smiles cover your heart
Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew
Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew
Weston's lovely but now derelict Grade 2 listed Birnbeck Pier. Already dilapidated, the pier was further damaged in Dec 15 by Storm Frank
Our lovely Sedum flowers are beginning to fade, whereas the Jade flowers are still going strong.
Sorry I disappeared yesterday evening, but our Internet link burped, as did the TV, and it took me ages to get everything back up and running again.
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :)
Hydranges are fading as winter's grip starts to threaten my autumn garden, Even though fading, this Hydrangea still enchants me with its beauty.

“Now the darkness only stays at night time In the morning it will fade away Daylight is good at arriving at the right time No it’s not always going to be this grey.”
— George Harrison
