In the Bonerowski Palace is a 19th century circular staircase wrapped around Europe’s longest chandelier, a 70-foot, five-layer masterpiece made entirely of Swarovski crystal.

I took this photo last year in Tenero at the Lago Maggiore, just a few minutes after this one. The colours had already changed from golden to a pink glow and the sun set behind the mountains but still managed to shine a bit over the lake.

Dead or dying trees don’t always need to be removed, if they are located in a forested area or away from people and structures. These trees can serve as a home and refuge for woodpeckers and other wildlife. In addition, its nutrients enrich the soil near decaying wood, helping new plants to grow and keeping living ones healthy as the nutrients are reabsorbed.
I saw this tree in the park last year and felt so sad. No signs of life, it was rotting and full of fungi. Trees are my favorite gifts from nature.

The rain came in the day after I shot this, so now we are just waiting for the winter and the snow.
I want to hold the hand inside you
I want to take a breath that's true
I look to you and I see nothing
I look to you to see the truth
You live your life
You go in shadows
You'll come apart and you'll go blind
Some kind of night into your darkness
Colors your eyes with what's not there
Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew
A stranger's light comes on slowly
A stranger's heart without a home
You put your hands into your head
And then its smiles cover your heart
Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew
Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew
I think it's strange you never knew
It's the moment you realize that the treasure you held in your hands you couldn't hold on to. In memory of Bart Bader, whom I sorely miss. 💕

"You were the shadow to my light
Did you feel us?
Another star, you fade away
Afraid our aim is out of sight
Wanna see us alight
Where are you now?
Where are you now?
Where are you now?
Was it all in my fantasy?
Where are you now?
Were you only imaginary?
Where are you now?
Atlantis, under the sea, under the sea
Where are you now? Another dream
The monster's running wild inside of me
I'm faded, I'm faded
So lost, I'm faded, I'm faded
So lost, I'm faded!"

This is a candid of me complete with balaclava and anti-glare wraparounds on the Kilpatrick Hills not too far from home.
So if you see me about - say hello :-)
Footnote:
We were on the hills for about 4 hours and it was around -5c not counting the wind chill, so the balaclavas, thermals etc were really necessary. The frozen tracks you can see in the snow were made earlier by a passing herd of cows. This area is pretty isolated and we didn't see anyone else around the whole time we were there. Talk about Lonely Planet LOL.

Meanwhile December has arrived but the weather shows the typical face of November. Today there was no sunshine, it was cold and uncomfortable. So I decided to go out to enjoy the moment. Obernbeck, Löhne, Ostwestfalen, Germany
