We live in a Faded World, where Art is only perceived, and Knowledge is used to improve this perception. But Art often conceals its meanings, and Knowledge is not able to reveal them.

This painting was based on a drawing that I made of my father, Merrill Grubbs, shortly before he died.

As leaves fade away into deep autumn, so as we seeing our freedoms fade, indeep be blasted away The norms we’ve always counted on are quickly disappearing. The flag is still there but it has been commandeered by a political movement that is nothing of which two thirds of our country want any part. We wait and worry.

It's been a while since I posted anything new but hopefully it becomes a more regular activity. I like what I'm hearing from the new owners. Time will tell if they can pull it off. I'm rooting for them and hope that you'll join in bringing Flickr back too.

I may be absent Flickr for a while. My hard drive is dying, so I have to learn how to switch over to a new one before I lose a bunch of stuff. I guess it shouldn't take that long, but me and electronics don't really get along that well.
Wish me luck, and I'll see you guys in a while...
