I find the imperfection of this snapshot, randomly taken, very revealing of what SL can ... or rather IS... and how fading can everything be... Would there be any similarities with RL?

These Lily of the Valley were just about past but still photogenic in my opinion.

Happy Fence Friday....have a great weekend.

The last rays of sun fade away as the sun pass under the horizon at Lake Mattamuskeet WIldlife Refuge. Lake Mattamuskeet is the largest fresh water lake in North Carolina and a migratory wildlife sanctuary.

I could possibly be fading

Or have something more to gain

I could feel myself growing colder

I could feel myself under your fate

Under your fate

It was you

Breathless and tall

I could feel my eyes turning into dust

And two strangers

Turning into dust...

The roses burst into life in the wonderful spring that we had this year!

They continued to be a great show, all the way through the record breaking hot and dry summer. But they are fading away now.

But there might be time for a late showing, before the winter sets in?

The fence fades away into the distance just as our fall season fades away with more leaves on the ground every day.

This is a small section of a begonia flower. The edges are starting to fade. HMM, everyone ! ! !

My gerbera daisies had all drooped in the vase but I couldn't resist one more try to capture them before I threw them out..

Fading flowers, still beautiful.

If there are many different varieties of anything, it is the dahlia. There are more than, remember, 20,000 different types of dahlias! The dahlia is a special flower that can crossbreed with other dahlia varieties, which is why there are so many different varieties. Dahlias can be divided into growth height, inflorescence or color.

Colours fade, temples crumble, empires fall, but wise words endure.

Lance-A-Lot’s colors are fading away as mating season comes to an end on the bayou. Still a bit of blue on the beak and the red in the eye remaining in this closeup captures. Those rich tones were almost gone when I saw him this past Wednesday. Not really sure if it is a male or a female as I don’t know the difference between the two. All of the Tri-colored Herons are reverting back to their normal colors as the breeding season is just a distant memory for them now. A bit more normal looking in the photo below.
