Trying to catch the splendor of a fall day. Mostly as it was taken, with some blur effects and color tweaks.

Agapanthus

The late (very late) blooming Agapanthus are fading out now.

It's better to burn out than to fade away

With the SD60F's all but done, taking time to get any barn has become a priority as they are hard to get. CN A451 rolls west through Lansing with one of the BCOL variety. For being almost 25 years old, they still look pretty good.

With the Lockdown limiting the distance I can travel from my home I've been revisiting the archive. I've always liked this shot, but have never before been happy with my presentation of it. The original was more central and the shelf that the vase stood on was visible As well as the cropping I have use a graduation to black and white, a first for me, and I'm very happy with the result.

Fade

Song by Staind

I try to breathe

Memories overtaking me

I try to face them but the thought

Is too much to conceive

I only know that I can change

Everything else just stays the same

So now I step out of

The darkness that my life became 'cause

I just needed someone to talk to

You were just too busy with yourself

You were never there for me to express how I felt

I just stuffed it down

Now I'm older and I feel like

I could let some of this anger fade

But it seems the surface

I am scratching is the bed that I have made

So where were you

When all this I was going through

You never took the time

To ask me just what you could do

I only know that I can change

Everything else just stays the same

So now I step out of

The darkness that my life became 'cause

I just needed someone to talk to

You were just too busy with yourself

You were never there for me to express how I felt

I just stuffed it down

Now I'm older and I feel like

I could let some of this anger fade

But it seems the surface

I am scratching is the bed that I have made

But I never meant to fade away

I never meant to fade

I just needed someone to talk to

You were just too busy with yourself

You were never there for me to express how I felt

I just stuffed it down

Now I'm older and I feel like

I could let some of this anger fade

But it seems the surface

I am scratching is the bed that I have made

I try to breathe

but only two months when the spring flowers will rise 🌷🌱

My goal on this image was to try to emulate the look of a faded color photo that may have originally been taken in the mid 1950's. Did I accomplish it...maybe, I'm not sure?

The process:

-Convert the original image to a b/w in a layer

-Add a sepia like tone to the image

-Back off the opacity in the layer to about 85% which brought back some of the original colors in the image

The car, a very nice 1935 Ford coupe, and illegally parked.
