Looking into the Sunrise as it clears the horizon, shining thru the clouds and bathes my neighbor's dew-drenched backyard.
The sunlight passes through the fence and makes this typical "fanning out" pattern. If you stood with your back to the fence, looking in the opposite direction, what would you expect to see?
During the Soviet occupation many people where deported to Siberia. These are the railway tracks in Vilnius heading East. Trains would roll this way.

I really like this photo, because it sort of looks like Jacklynn isn't thinking about the fact that I'm taking a picture of her, rather she's warming her face and in her own thoughts... :]
Sonya stands on the paddock and stares off into the distance. Wind generator just visible over her right shoulder.
The Port of Antwerp in Flanders, Belgium, is a port in the heart of Europe accessible to capesize ships. It is Europe’s second-largest seaport, after Rotterdam. Antwerp stands at the upper end of the tidal estuary of the Scheldt. The estuary is navigable by ships of more than 100,000 Gross Tons as far as 80 km inland (from Wikipedia)

If you liked my work, take a look at my Instagram gallery, where I share some of the things I've been doing (travels, music, lifestyle) and where I post other pictures that are not yet on Flickr as well as some edits. It would greatly help me in my photographic journey. Thanks a lot for your support.
-38C the North wind lashing against the Kutcho camp. We had built up snow mounts to help cut the wind hitting the tent faces which seemed to help now.....
This yellow gerbera daisy was taken from a bouquet of cut flowers, placced in a vase and photographed in front of a black piece of posterboard. So beautiful and yet so simple, the simpleness inspired the title of Facing Simpleness

When live is just plain shit, a day comes in which one feels tired of the struggle, tired of being defeated once and again.
On days like this you consider achiving the final victory, winning the ultimate battle and laving all the crap behind.
With all honour, with your own hands and by your own decision.
The last victory of the defeated, of the tired warriors. They who just want to rest and say to the rest of the planet: "Fuck you all! Let me in peace!"
After facing some of its toughest competition since the sport started at the university, they came through the season with an 18-16 overall record.
I was out all day yesterday, trying to learn a bit more about my new camera, and get the hang of it. Not doing too well so far, trial and error and characteristically not enough patience, but i'll get there.
Anyway i was trying to work on the theme of managing to photograph the wind, as it is an element so prevalent in Wellington, yet very hard to photograph aside form a stiffly blown flag etc. While walking back from the 3am hellishness of Courtney place i was fooling around with this statue trying to get a half decent long exposure shot, but the wind was so strong that it was blowing the camera on mini tripod all over the place, even when being held firmly to the floor, getting me soaked in the process.
Fitting enough really considering this statue was created as a 'dedication' to the solace of facing into the Strong Wellington Harbour winds.
