The shop where this guy was installed facing the wall has closed down. It was a frozen yoghurt place in Düsseldorf.

Northwest facing view of Scotch Pond, a historic moorage site
Scotch Pond consists of a pond, originally a slough, dredged in the early 1950s and connected by a channel to the Strait of Georgia. Along with the pond are the remains of wooden boardwalk pilings which run directly along the south edge of the pond and were constructed in 1899 as part of the Scottish Canadian Cannery operation.

He's got so much love for her
But he doesn't know what to do
Sitting in the car
Waiting outside of school
He's in for a heartbreak if it's all been blind faith
From my point of view
Baby, he's got to be crazy
Living like he's John Wayne
Always facing the world and chasing the girl
Baby, he's got to be crazy
He's got so much in his heart
But he doesn't know what to do
All he wants is her
Lying inside his room
He's always feeling cheated
Telling all his secrets
That I couldn't keep
Baby, he's got to be crazy
Living like he's John Wayne
Always facing the world and chasing the girl
Baby, he's got to be crazy
Baby, he's got to be crazy
Living like he's John Wayne
Always facing the world and chasing the girl
Baby, he's got to be crazy
Common Hoverfly (Melangyna viridiceps)
This Hoverfly came face to face with some aphids on this weed in the garden this morning. Another reminder that I really must find the time to do some weeding!
I think I have caught up with everyone's photos now but will no doubt get behind again soon. Di is doing well and is having lots of tests. We should get some idea on Friday afternoon, when we next see the specialist, as to whether open heart surgery will be needed.
Happy Wing Wednesday!
Very well, then. It's a series - once I have a name for it. At least it's not facing left, though.
After all, what's better than a constant, when combatting the restlessness brought about by impending change?

My wonderful girlfriend on a horse on a ledge at Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park and a big storm in the backdrop. There’s a native Navajo who lets people get pictures on his horse with the gorgeous backdrop of Monument Valley. He overheard my gf and I talking about an angle she’d seen online, and told us to hang out a little while longer until the crowd dissipated, which we did. He then allowed us to take turns getting this angle of each other, and this was my favorite of my gf. A really awesome cool experience 😊
A silent evening by the Hjørundfjord at Sunnmore. The little village Urke, with only 50 inhabitants, facing on the left side of Norangsfjorden. The world 's most beautiful village at the world's most spectacular fjord, according to one of the guests. The fjord runs like a giant canyon through mountainous Sunnmørsalpene.
In the end of the fjord you will find Øye. Øye has been a central location for the early tourist traffic to Norway since the end of the 1800s and first 1900s. This is a good starting point for mountain hikes.
Here you will also find the famous hotel Union. The hotel stands in its former splendor and looks like it did when it opened in 1891. A few years ago the hotel got the award " one of the worlds 12 most exciting hotels ."
Common Gum Tree Shield Bug (Poecilometis patruelis)
For Macro Monday - Animal
Spotted on our hedge yesterday.
The Shield Bug measures 10 mm across the 'shoulders'.
Posting early today as I will be out for most of the rest of the day. Catch up later, perhaps via the app if I get time.
And I may not be around tomorrow.
Happy Macro Monday!
This butterfly landed on tiny flowers long enough for me to capture this image. I noticed that the lower wings were quite battered. There are so many dangers butterflies face in their short lives. Predators can try to grasp their wings or butterflies can bump into dense shrubbery to access flowers for nectar or to find host plants to lay their eggs. Any contact their wings make with another surface will cause scales to be rubbed off...and these do not regrow.
This is one of my family's seven pet dogs. This good-looking female canine, however, was not what I intended to photograph when I went out with a camera in my hand. Finding not even a single interesting subject to shoot, I then started to walk back toward home. Unexpectedly, this dog, named Kirei, came up to me. And the rest of the story is this head shot of her, which I snapped when she momentarily looked up, directly facing me.
