Supposedly (our tour guide said) these freeway overpasses (covered with advertising) are loaded with explosives in case North Korea invades and South Korea decides to block the road to the south.
Task Force EOD conducted a demolition range at Camp Bondsteel Oct. 3. The purpose of the range was to ensure the techs maintain proficiency with explosively loaded tools. Military working dogs were present on the range to test their reaction to the explosions.

Twenty-five nations, more than 45 ships and submarines, about 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 27 to Aug. 2 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world’s largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security of the world’s oceans. RIMPAC 2018 is the 26th exercise in the series that began in 1971.

The Northern Skies of Northern Wisconsin exploded with amazing and spectacular colors. One of the best displays I've ever seen. A solar wind stream produced these stunning skies during the late hours of September 1 2016 into the early hours of September 2 2016. Crivitz, Wisconsin. The Milky Way also was very bright and visible..
