I had to turn around to get the memorial shrine and again to make sure I read this sign right. Unfortunately there were no glorious cracks or thumps to be heard in the distance however.
Part of Lille's famous Citadel. The ammunition store was seperate from the other buildings and surrounded by a brick wall so in the case of accidental explosions the force would send the roof upwards rather than the walls outwards.
