Issued to traffic in 1910, 1NH was a specially built wagon used to carry explosives on the Moe-Walhalla narrow gauge line. The wagon had two sections, one designed to carry 4 tons of explosives and the other to carry 6 tons of general goods.
After the explosives traffic ended the wagon was converted to just carry general goods.
Officially scraped in 1954 when the body was sold off, the wagon was rebuilt after the body was acquired by the Puffing Billy Preservation Society in 1968.

Sandia Labs researcher Chris Brotherton checks tiny sensors in a test fixture, where he exposes them to different environments and measures their response to see how they perform. Brotherton is principal investigator on a project aimed at detecting a common type of homemade explosive made with hydrogen peroxide.

SOUTH CHINA SEA (June 17, 2021) - Sailors assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 5, attached to Commander, Task Force (CTF) 70, detonate an explosive training device from an MH-60S Sea Hawk attached to the Golden Falcons of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 12 embarked on the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Tucked into a faraway corner of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, scientists, engineers and technicians are conducting explosive work -- literally and figuratively -- as part of the National Nuclear Security Administration's efforts to keep the nuclear stockpile safe and secure. The High Explosives Application Facility -- better known as HEAF -- is a state-of-the-art explosives research center that features a variety of experimental capabilities found nowhere else. HEAF activities support LLNL's Energetic Materials Center, a national resource for research and development of explosives, pyrotechnics and propellants. This collective expertise is just one reason NNSA has proposed making LLNL its Center of Excellence for High Explosives R&D, with HEAF specifically identified as the high explosive R&D focus.
PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 17, 2015) Sailors assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 3, Platoon 3-1-1 and Chilean navy sailors approach an MH-60S Seahawk helicopter, assigned to the "Black Knights" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 4, while preparing for extraction during a fast-roping exercise on the flight deck of aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73). UNITAS 2015, the U.S. Navy's longest running annual multinational maritime exercise, is part of the Southern Seas deployment planned by U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet. This 56th iteration of UNITAS is conducted in two phases: UNITAS PACIFIC, hosted by Chile, October 13-24, 2015 and UNITAS Atlantic, hosted by Brazil scheduled for November. Two frames, which I made a few months ago. With a custom underslung GL, some shells, and an underslung assault rifle just becuase.
It's a bit cluttered.
Almost "volcanic" I could say. I like its structure. Under it, the northern suburbs of Athens, enjoyed a 70 mm thunderstorm. 15.07.2014

A mesmerising sunset paints the sky in brilliant shades of orange, purple, and pink over a serene body of water, with gentle waves rippling towards the shore. The silhouette of distant hills adds depth and contrast to the vibrant horizon.
Placed the direction of the center of the light to create a dynamic confrontational effect of explosive light.
The direction of the light facing left and inside the photo creates a tension which i like in this photo.

This weird 128 hectare landscape of grassy bumps, pools, roofless buildings and ditches is what’s left of the Curtis’s & Harvey Ltd explosives factory. The factory played a vital role in maintaining the British Empire as the gunpowder, nitro-glycerine and cordite needed by our armed forces to kill, maim and intimidate millions of people across the globe was made here by the ton. The factory closed in 1921, grazing sheep have kept the grass short.

This 4th was a tad more explosive than usual, with a massive lightning storm going on all night long to accompany the fireworks, combined with a great vantage point that overlooks just about every firework show around. This image is only the culmination of 1:30 worth of time (3 stacked 30 second exposures) and has 4 lightning strikes and 40+ fireworks going off!
