I haven't been posting for a while. Hope everyone here is well and not gone insane with the whole pandemic situation <3
DRGW K-36 class engines #488 and 489 pause together in Cumbres, CO after 489 disconnected from the end of the train. 488 will bring the train to Osier while 489 will wye and run back to Chama, it's work done.

The Moment of Impact... You can see the droplet hitting the top of the spout and starting to spray out in addition you can see where the droplet is mixing with the top of the spout.
Mik/Water mix dropping into red dyed water.
Strobist Info : 2 Sec Exposure @ F16, manually released Vivitar 283 Flash set to 1/16th power with VariPower module also set to 1/16th to get fast flash and frozen motion.
White backdrop behind droplet, homemade reflector (Board covered in tinfoil to the right side to bounce back flash from the left.)
Sometimes it's fun exploring on your own. Sometimes it's fun exploring with a friend.
This was a standard shot with the figures out in the sun rather than in the shadows like the previous shot.
