this may look like a motion shot but he was actually stood still like this, he wasn't leaning back on to anything either, no seat, far too clever for me, I had no idea how he did it. Can't believe this 'bit of fun' shot made explore, thanks so much for your views, comments and faves
(51/366) This book contains old photos & information about Bromsgrove the town in Worcestershire, England where I was born. The cover photo was taken in 1919 & the smallest boy is my Grandfather Bernard Hirons who was 7 at the time. He's with his older brother Bill & their father Bill senior, my great Grandfather. They had not long returned from Canada where they'd emigrated in 1916, I'm not sure what brought them back I must ask my mother.
They're stood outside a pub called the Horn and Trumpet, the pub landlord (in the apron) Thomas Cresswell was Bill senior's brother-in-law. The horse-drawn carriage was taking pub regulars on a day trip to Bridgnorth in Shropshire. Sadly they are all no longer with us but it's fascinating to have this book as a keepsake.
