A quick meeting outside Toronto's Queen Street subway station resulted in this street portrait of Pops. Some skepticism resulted from my introducing myself and my request to photograph him. I think my sharing my name did something to tip the balance. He consented and I took just this one photo. He seemed satisfied when I showed him the result, but his initial skepticism still shows in the portrait.

The color of a river,
A sway of life,
With the glow of a knife,
Blue is a wonderful hue,
Unlike gloomy glue,
It's the little body of a fly,
The color of the sky,
The color of the summer,
Showing a wonderful time,
The color of a peacock,
And our oceans too,
Blue is rain,
Sleet,
But never snow,
However,
Who might ever know?
Blue is the Earth,
It's life,
And wealth,
The stability of all life,

Jamie has figured out how to open the cabinets! What safety latches were there were broken off or removed before I moved in. It's under the sinks where cleaners are kept that has me the most worried.

Heavily retouched (down to individual sand grains in some cases!) to reduce noise and enhance the pattern. Retouching with Touch Retouch by Adva Soft. Recommended.

This is a very telephoto shot of Mt Slesse from a lookout in Chilliwack. There was a distant camp fire in the valley causing some haze in the image. Wishing everyone Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. All the best to everyone and your family's this Holiday season. Kris....
