I caught a little wormy

a crawling up a tree.

He wiggled here

he wiggled there

he wiggled right at me.

I put him in a shoebox

and told him STAY RIGHT THERE.

But when I opened up the box

a butterfly was there.

I don't know how it happened

I couldn't if I tried

cause only the great Lord above

can make a butterfly.

my daughter graduated high school this week. my wife found this hanging decoration in a local $ store. all agree that it is exactly how she would have looked had she received her diploma while high on 4 bags of crack.

One of the several remaining lift bridges left on the Hennepin Canal in Northern Illinois.Originally conceived in 1831,the canal did not open until 1907.By then railroads were beginning to proliferate and barges were getting bigger, which made the narrow canal almost obsolete by the time it opened. It closed in the early 1950's and later became the largest state park in Illinois. It is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Some of the architects who later designed the Panama Canal helped build the Hennepin Canal.

تبدو ملآمحي " سـآكنه "

أكاد لآ أشعر بي ..

Ask me

Old Man (aka Gandalf) a few days ago.

We ran into some domestic horse people on the range and I was telling them his name. They looked at me and then shrugged it off like i was a crazy wild horse photographer. Then I showed them he was on my shirt and they were intrigued and started asking questions.

The Old man with his own clothing line! 😂

When you are that beautiful, why not!

The next day early morning I saw this serene scene through my window. There was absolute silence and the crescent was glowing above the waters while a faint streak of daylight was unfolding from behind the mountains. It was a moment to cherish and I decided it should be passed on to you, my friends in flickr, also, which prompted me to grab my D40.

Our Swedish red squirrel has the scientific name Sciurus vulgaris. Sciurus is the genus name and means "he who shadows himself with the tail". The species name vulgaris means common.

The species is found from Ireland in the west throughout Europe, and occurs throughout Asia all the way to the Japanese island of Hokkaido in the east, except for parts of Italy and southern Spain. (Text: Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet)
