After sunset in a fairly still weather.

I took this shot of South Bank of River Thames in Feb this year and have been contemplating uploading this for a while. So here it is... hope you like it.

I have no new material as I am still busy at home... hopefully things will change in the coming weeks when I start travelling again.

Although you might picture colorful flowers blooming on a sunny day, a few plants bloom after sunset and throughout the night, with flowers closing up during daylight hours. The common night-blooming, or evening, primrose (Oenothera) usually has fragrant bright yellow flowers that can perfume an entire garden during the evening hours.

The magic is that the flowers of evening primrose open at almost exactly 9 p.m. on summer nights, and you can watch it unfold its petals, slightly trembling in the night air, in mere minutes–or seconds.

Das Öffnen der Blüten erfolgt innerhalb weniger Minuten in einer fließenden Bewegung. Die Schnelligkeit, mit der das Aufblühen erfolgt, ist bei keiner anderen in Mitteleuropa vorkommenden Pflanze zu beobachten.

Die hellgelben Blüten öffnen sich zu Beginn der Nacht und Morgen, wenn die Sonne scheint, beginnen sie bereits wieder zu verblühen...

Not much color in the sky this evening.

It was windy and cloudy this evening at Sparks Lake to I decided to use a long shutter speed to smooth the water.

Walking about in Bochum. Came about this frame. Seemed intereting.
