Pattern source: Knitting Vintage Socks / Nancy Bush
Yarn: Rowan 4 Ply Soft, 3 x 50 g, in shade Victoria
Needles: 2,5 mm
Modifications: I made the leg longer by adding 7 (!) pattern repeats (my legs are not that long!), shortened the heel flap (34 rows instead of 40 in the pattern), and in the toe I added some rows between the decrease rows.
A thumbs up from a paraglider pilot before his launch for another flight from Truleigh Hill. The wind wasn't right to keep him aloft for long, but the whoops of joy on the way down showed he enjoyed his trip, the long walk back up, probably less so.
A good evening #63 in the treasure hunt
...or "Yet Another Kerry Park Shot"
This shot was taken on the same night as the one posted in the comment section of "This Might Be You." The photogs were out in full force in Kerry Park as usual with a wide variety of equipment from pocket-sized Powershots to 5D MkIIs.
I was hoping for a few high clouds, but it ended up being a perfectly clear evening instead...plus the smog was starting to build up after a few days of no rain so Rainier was becoming a bit hazy. The light was good though, since I made it there in time to catch the the few moments before the sun dips below the horizon and after most of the city lights have been turned on. It's actually a fairly small window of time, but thankfully everyone in the Seattle metro area was at Kerry Park that night to capture it (OK...it wasn't that crowded...).
Dewdrops, Nature's tears, which she
Sheds in her own breast for the fair which die.
The sun insists on gladness; but at night,
When he is gone, poor Nature loves to weep.
- Philip James Bailey
An Atlantic wave breaking on the jetty wall at Sennen Cove is illuminated by the evening sunlight. Much larger breaking waves are commonplace in autumn and winter.

Evening under the Lighthouse in Old Field, NY
Canon T4i, 3 seconds, F16, ISO100, Grad ND handheld, Tripod.
It's been sunshine and heavy showers here today. Managed to catch the sun making a brief appearance before having to dash in again.
These so called weeds are very invasive, but the flowers are so pretty, I just don't have the heart to kill them.
