How did I do this?
1.Added vignetting
2.Altered levels on both sky and ground separately using a feather 150 pixels.
3.Added some grain and altered the opacity until I got my preferred effect.
4. Used burn tool to increase treee shadow
Etching view from the window Cremorne Point Sydney harbour - etching from a sketch I did e few years ago.
(All images, I think, after Rembrandt). When I was an art student at Pratt Institute, in Brooklyn New York, I took some printmaking classes. These are the only four etchings I ever did. I wasn’t very good at it. And the process took too much time. And I couldn’t erase. And my hands got dirty. And I think I complained about it as much back then. The class must have been on Monday, because the only thing I really do remember is talking about a new, very funny, comedy show that aired on TV over the weekend, it was called, “Saturday Night Live.” Who knew it would still be on TV today? But I digress....
