Notes: Charles Joshua Chaplin (8 June 1825 – 30 January 1891) was a French painter and printmaker who painted both landscapes and portraits. He was an accomplished artist mastering different techniques such as pastels, lithography, watercolor, chalk, oil painting and etching. He was best known for his elegant portraits of young women.

County Hall, Morpeth by John Rothwell. One in a series of glass etchings on doorways in County Hall this depicts Admiral Cuthbert Collingwood 1748-1810 who served in the Navy with Lord Nelson. He was a resident of Morpeth.

Mar is investigating about traditional printmaking techniques.

This was a session where she was learning about how to make soft ground etching.

Had this a long time, etching on silk, does anyone recognise the name of the artist.
