It is essential that we move forward. But we must never forget where we came from. People have made sacrifices so that we can enjoy the life we have. So what if we are hated. Being hated has a long, proud tradition and is scientifically proven to be based on envy and jealousy. Envy and jealousy are part of the fundamentals and the fundamentals are sound. We must be strong and resolute. We are not getting any younger, but we are no worse for wear either. Our fate is in our hands, so it’s important to wash them after handling the mail. We must tell Jillian every day how pretty she looks. At the same time we must return to our normal lives. It is not the prize but the journey that counts. Nothing will be the same again, but we must act as if nothing has changed, except where it might be dangerous to believe things are as they were. We have turned a corner and entered a new era. It might be nice to dress up. People are reevaluating their lives. Who laid out the streets in this crazy pattern anyway? Yes, the Beatles wrote some great songs, but they also created a generation of grandmothers who have difficulty explaining themselves to a younger generation and thus enforcing the standards of behavior and decorum that we have come to hold sacred. Those who sit staring at their TVs are heroes too, as is that segment of the population talking to each other on cell phones in the shopping malls. If a light truck is in your future, please reconsider. We have a lot to be thankful for. Soon it will show up in test scores. Those blips in the markets are only a readjustment. The fundamentals are sound. The stock market is fueled by rumors of the fuel markets which are fueled by rumors of whether or not you are going to buy that light truck. We can now see how important all those cell phone conversations going on between drivers of trucks and cars are to our national health. We have never been more determined. But it must be understood that while we are a God-fearing nation and we intend to put the fear of God in our enemies, this should not be construed to mean that we are inviting a lot of people to come over here for Christmas dinner. Jillian is looking a little peaked. Things are getting back to normal. If there is a cell phone in your future, please reconsider. I feel that the bailout has worked. The noise of commercial aircraft over my house is deafening. Those who forget the past are condemned to watching a lot of reruns on TV. Installing a small mirror at the end of your nose could help you stand out in a crowd, which could keep you from blending in and thus casting suspicion upon yourself as someone who means harm to our way of life. Look at the new definition of hero. The fallout from all this is hard to define, but we must continue to define it without hesitation. Spawning another layer of expert commentators can have far-reaching effects on our desire to get up in the morning. If a light truck is in your future, please consider giving Jillian a ride in it. Please call her on her new cell phone. Ditto me. Ditto your higher power. Don’t you think Jillian looks pretty in cowboy boots?

A camera toss series. I hadn't done any of these in a long time and thought it good to revisit the bare essentials considering it was a camera I had not used for the technique yet. A single white LED provides the light source, exposures vary from .7sec to 2sec. What is produced is essentially an inverted physiogram (inverted in that it illustrates camera motion rather than subject motion) and can tell you alot about the movement possible with a given model of camera.
I also had been meaning to do this simplistic series for a while, because I feel achieving something aesthetically wonderful does not require an overly complicate light source, the beauty is ultimately due to the motion.
All images in this series are directly from my Kodak Easyshare 3.1mp camera, no hotoshop, no cropping or manipulation other than image rotation.

These are two 36" radius w/ easement curve templates that were laid out following the John Armstrong "stick" methodology. The only change I made was to bump the offset up to 1" with a total easement length of 30" (known as 'L'). The 36" is on the "inside" of the template and 38" on the outside. If needed, I can bump up the radius to 38" if conditions require.
I could have used one piece for the entire thing, but these 1/4" scraps I had in the garage were readily available. After laying everything out in pencil, I simply used a jigsaw and sanding block to do the rest.

Directions of use:
1. Hydrating Face and Body Wash Massage across damp skin taking care around the eye area. Rinse thoroughly.
2. Conditioning Shampoo Apply to wet hair and massage to create a rich lather. Rinse thoroughly.
3. Shave Oil Squeeze a small amount of Shave Oil in to the palm of your hand. Begin application using circular movements to help soften beard. Use a sharp razor and shave in the direction of hair growth.
4. After Shave Balm Apply to face and neck after shaving to protect your skin from razor burn.
5. EDT Apply to pulse points.
