For me maintaining a calm state of mind is essential. I have bipolar disorder. It has sometimes made me extremely ill.
Many years after my first hospitalised episode I discovered my diagnosis. I researched the illness and created my own self-management plan to stay well.
I have been free of episodes for nearly 20 years. Photography is an essential part of my plan.

Found this small wine glass in the china closet that has a ‘fractured glass’ treatment of some sort. I don’t know how this is done but it looks awesome and gives you a sense that it will simply break in your hand if you use it spilling that precious elixir. I played around with it a bit to see how to present it to stay within the size limits. Submittal for the Aug 24,2020 Macro Monday’s theme of “Glass.”

The eastern gray squirrel is a tree squirrel in the genus Sciurus. It is native to eastern North America, where it is the most prodigious and ecologically essential natural forest regenerator. Widely introduced to certain places around the world, the eastern grey squirrel in Europe, in particular, is regarded as an invasive species. (Wikipedia)

Mud Lake is home to both the grey and black morphs of Grey Squirrel. They view humans as sources of food and are bold enough to come right up to any trail visitor in the quest for a treat. This one is plumping up for the winter hibernation.
