Simple Things - Bundt Cake Essentials

New York during the COVID-19

Although cold in the middle of the winter is granted, those rare sunny days we get, should cherish and collect all that vitamin the sun provides and manifest the D to come into our lives! x xD

A common moth, very small but the patterns and their symmetry is key to their camouflage and survival.

For me maintaining a calm state of mind is essential. I have bipolar disorder. It has sometimes made me extremely ill.

Many years after my first hospitalised episode I discovered my diagnosis. I researched the illness and created my own self-management plan to stay well.

I have been free of episodes for nearly 20 years. Photography is an essential part of my plan.

I couldn't live without Maldon Sea Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper - HSoS!

MRL 4404 was unveiled yesterday in a new Essential Workers wrap, and made its first revenue trip on this morning's ML. My intention was to do something different than the exact same shot I took of the Veterans unit several weeks ago, but the train flew out of town with a crew that was obviously motivated to get over the road and get back home again in time for Christmas. It was out of town and gone before I even realized it, and after a spirited chase, this just happened to be where I caught up to it.

I hope everyone out there makes a fast run across their own personal divisions to make it home for the holidays. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

RKO_1295. World Elephant Day!

A large family of beautiful elephants arrived at the Chobe river to lessen their thirst!

How awesome to see the young elephants enjoying the water! Hopefully they have a future!

Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, Maine

Found this small wine glass in the china closet that has a ‘fractured glass’ treatment of some sort. I don’t know how this is done but it looks awesome and gives you a sense that it will simply break in your hand if you use it spilling that precious elixir. I played around with it a bit to see how to present it to stay within the size limits. Submittal for the Aug 24,2020 Macro Monday’s theme of “Glass.”

Macro Mondays: Everyday Carry

"This week, set your wallet/keys/phone aside and check your pockets or purse for the lip balm, pocket knife, lighter, flashlight, inhaler, multitool, floss, whistle, etc. that's always with you when you walk out the door."

For me this would also be glasses and a book, good thing I usually carry a big purse! :) Sometimes when you are waiting at an appointment or being on your lunch break it is good to have a book to read.

Thanks to all for your visit! HMM!
