Scrapping the barrel tonight , so an archive shot from a day when I got the car washed - by the firemen at Leatherhead Fire Station . A bit of kit that I have never seen in the past , but when needed - essential !! I am assuming this is a water bowser for times when a hydrant is not nearby !!

water on our lane makes a nice picture I think (phone picture)
Our big car is in getting fixed so we haven't been driving in this (Paula's i20 and Ellen's mini are not high enough to risk it). Our neighbour took me shopping for essentials in her big jeep.
the overnight rain has left quite a puddle.
House and garden are fine - no standing water at all.
Thankfully the weather warning for rain tomorrow has been cancelled and it looks like we have no more substantive rain for next few days so things should be getting better from now on.
Hopefully this water will be well down by tomorrow.

Whilst the number of new infections seems to continue to slow in Belgium, we’re seeing the virus flaring up in other European countries. A very good reason to stay put and enjoy our staycation and to continue to search for the beauty in ugliness off the beaten track in my hometown – Muidebrug, Ghent, Belgium
