Though this shot in Augusta has been done many times before, it's definitely worth going to. On a bright fall morning, 261 heads west to Glencoe past the most photographed farm in the state this weekend. The day before we got rained out on at this spot, but the second day was greeted with bright blue skies, perfect for a day of shooting.

Lots of food photos were taken this week. Food is not my favourite subject but dark chocolate is definitely one of my favourite food groups. I have some with a cup of coffee daily when we sit down for our evening telly. This is one of several bars of interesting chocolate given by my husband for a valentine. He knows my heart. Unfortunately there wasn't much art to find in it this time.

C-FWZV, a de Havilland Canada DHC-7-103, at Yellowknife Airport in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. It was departing as TIN802 (Air Tindi Ltd.) to the tiny communities of Wekweeti and Gameti in the Northwest Territories.
Like many others, these two remote NWT communities are only accessible year-round by air. The movement of essentials such as fuel, food, pharmaceuticals and building materials is accomplished by flights like this. Each of those communities have a 3,000-foot-long gravel runway that can easily accommodate the nimble Dash 7.
Tli Cho Air Inc. is a joint venture between the Tlicho people's Tlicho Investment Corporation (52%) and Air Tindi Ltd. (48%). It provides scheduled passenger service and cargo flights from Yellowknife to Gameti, Wekweeti and Whati.

This last unspoiled and undeveloped habitat in Kings Bay, the headwaters of the Crystal River, is critical for protection of the West Indian Manatee. With a sudden “crack!” of pyrotechnics, a mockup of NASA’s Orion spacecraft released its grip on a set of cables and began a graceful, deliberate dive toward a pool 14 feet below.
Instead of an Olympic-style feat of athletics, it was a mighty stroke of engineering — and an essential step forward in NASA’s journey to Mars.
Onlookers gathered near the Hydro Impact Basin at NASA’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, applauded and cheered. They had just witnessed the simulated water landing of a space capsule, through the use of a 7.2-ton mockup covered with sensors capable of detecting forces that the structure and its astronaut crew would experience.
